None from China; they don’t know what they’re selling, but nobody has reported a solid pill SK68 for a long while.

Mtnelectronics for a while had one with a known solid pill, but they’re out of stock

A bit expensive, but http://www.dx.com/p/singfire-sf-117b-cree-xm-l-t6-700lm-3-mode-white-zoo... definitely has a solid pill.

When switched to full brightness, it gets fairly warm with a 14500 but not unbearably so.
It seems to have a reasonably decent (current-wise) driver.

I’ll definitely be swapping out the XM-L with an XM-L2 or something soon.

You need to get somebody to stock it and post a coupon.

According to that link, you could purchase the pill ($0.30, w/o shipping) alone.

I still like finding solid-pill cheap hosts —suitable back plane to use 10mm square Rebel and PC Rebel emitters

I was was gifted an SK68 that someone paid $7.00 at Tractor Supply. From what I can see, thru the bubble pack, it contains an XP-G2 or XP-E2. The claim is only 70 Lumen, probably on an AA. I will do a tear down tonight and see what it’s got.
Solid pill?
3 mode driver?
What emitter?
Does it run on AA and 14500?
etc.

Because an decent ’68 is hard to come by now, all the more reason I want a source. Others probably do too.

I’ve seen them before. Could try in package. Didn’t seem as bright as others. Maybe because of the packaging. Let us know how it does compared to ones off ebay and such. If it is the same then I guess 70 would be the official lumen count. Seems like it should be higher to me even on alkalines.

Could you post a link? I tried to figure out how to order, but I don’t really read kanji, and I can’t seem to find it.

The FT one actually claims, as of a couple months ago, to have a solid pill, see the Questions link

I looked at it, it looks like the confirmation was in 2013. The one in April. The September one was never answered. Sad if I’m looking at it correctly Sad
