Any comments on the Stream Light Stylus Pro?

Hi -

I think this is going to be my next light, its a 2xAAA penlight. Is this like the bench-mark light for this style of light? I dont want to spend more for a Prion.

Its about $20 but its nice because it comes in different colors and is supposed to include a little sheath.

Anyone here have one, do you like it? Is it a good EDC light? Thanks!

Supposedly you can swap a itp a3 head onto it and have a 3 mode too so figure out what color combos will work well together if you consider doing this kind of swap

These are very popular with mechanics. I think these are often compared to a Snap-On light that is similar and has more grip (I think).

Radio Shack and Newegg have been running sales on the Icon penlight lately. 2 mode newer version has brighter high. It seemed too thick IMO.

the streamlight was my edc for a while, it was a great little light. it gives out about 20 lumens perfect for close lighting. it is only one mode. i believe they came out with a upgraded version with higher lumen rating. i since moved on for a preon 2 .

I got the new C4 version of the Stylus Pro in Matte Black for our FAK and it's perfect, thin not too heavy. Runs 48 lumens. Arrived a bit dry and needed lube. Running two Lithium AAA's in it. Otherwise, perfect for the job.

Yes, there is a new version that pumps out 48 lumins and that is what I have been carrying every day for a couple of months.
Simply put, it is a great light and for $20 you can’t go wrong. I know for a fact that if you order a black one from Amazon, you will get the new version even if the description still states it as being 20 lumins.
