SOLD Modified Ultrafire 1226 with XHP70 High CRI LED

SOLD

Up for sale is this Ultrafire 1226 led light.

It has been modified with a Cree XHP70 High CRI led, on a copper mcpcb and under that is a copper shelf. The driver is an RMM SRK FET driver. It has been modified to use 2S/2P 18650 cells. The tail cap plate has also been modified for 2S/2P. The cells load from the tail end now. Never take the body off, just the tail cap. The cell holders are clearly marked for proper cell orientation and the tail cap plate cannot be put in wrong. It has pins to locate position. The Aluminum reflector has been stippled lightly, to get rid of the dreaded black cross of the four die leds. The beam is pretty smooth and it is very bright.

The led is a high CRI, 90 CRI and it is more natural than a regular XHP70. It does not have the blue cast seen in some of the 5700k leds and the colors are more realistic. Washout will still be seen due to massive lumens otf.

You will need to use unprotected high drain flat top cells, such as the Efest shown here. Longer cells will not work and will crush things, resulting in damage and possible shorting to the tail cap plate and or cells.

Hi OL, do you have a build thread of this Ultrafire 1226? Curious about how you did the 2S2P mod.
