I would like to introduce a multi-forum Spark SG6 interest list.
If we can get 45 we can get a price of $61.70 and if we get 90 then we can get a price of $58.60. It is available in CW and NW versions.
This is not the cheapest headlamp made but it is one of the best quality headlamps out there. Normally these run $79.95. If you look at Mhanlen’s review (4th of July Headlamp Review: Spark SG6-NW XML2 with a Crazy Cat, Moontravelers, and Lumens.) and his comments you will see that he is very fond of this headlamp and at about 25% off this is a deal.
Here is the catch…we must hit either 45 or 90 commitments within the next 10 days.
Here are more specs. from Spark’s websitehttp://www.spark-light.com/Products.aspx?ProductID=39
Battery : One 18650 Li-on battery or 2*CR123 Li-on battery

Aluminum alloy material with Class III hard anodized finishing
SCHOTT ultra clear lens
Reverse polarity protection
IPX8 waterproof
Weight without battery: 48g (with battery and headband 105g)
Dimensions: (Length) 100mm (Diameter) 27mm
I doubt there is any affiliation because this is on other forums too. I was going to do the same but have not had the time. No different than the first post being a for sale post like we so often see.
I had a pm conversation about this headlamp with mhanlen. Even though I really like the Skilhunts and soon to find out about the Xtar H3, he did say that this is a much better quality build and worth the extra dough. That is the reason that I am willing to go for one.
I have the Nitecore HC50, SkilhuntH02 and H02R, Xtar H2, Rayfall H1L. If this is truly better than those then I want one. Worst case is that it becomes someone's Christmas gift ;) (This time of year sucks. LOL)
Those are older models. The ST6 is nice but I was only able to get it to do 308 lumens. The upside is better runtimes, it can run protected cells, and you can put the cell in either way.
The SG6 on the other hand only takes unprotected cells, has better anodizing, and is brighter. The UI and number of modes for each is identical though. Max lumen output numbers are found in my Xtar review.
My measured readings for the SG6: 508, 306, 106, 12.8, 0.67
Now if there were only a post, say 2 or 3 above this one with tested output #s… … I actually snuck it in there yesterday in a covert edit. So no one noticed it.
I know we pm'd and you liked this light. What is it that you think is better than the Skilhunt headlamp (one of my favorites)? I know I want one because you have seen most up close so no reason to doubt yours or Grover's opinion.
Skilhunt uses a cheaper feeling anodization than the Spark. The mode spacing on the Skilhunt leaves much to be desired, and it doesn’t have a moonlight mode. Also you can swap out the lens on the Spark, and you’re stuck with the lens on the Skilhunt.
For those who don’t know, SPARK is a company that started from a group of people who left Zebralight. So SPARK is very similar in style and design to Zebralight. I personally feel that SPARK makes an awesome product. I have an SD52NW headlamp that is excellent.
Yeah, that may be because it seems to run a bit higher than advertised in that mode. Also Spark doesn’t mention what cells they use to get their figures. By the way GearBest said they’d try protected cells- if I hear anything about that I’ll let you know.
This review also suggests that it doesn’t fit protected cells.
