Budget AA charger needed - HELP!

I need a cheap AA charger. Possibly with indipendent channel.

I found this two

http://cgi.ebay.it/AA-AAA-Ni-MH-Ni-Cd-Rechargeable-Battery-BTY-LCD-charger-/220806158010?pt=AU_Electronics_Batteries_Chargers&hash=item33691296ba

http://www.dealextreme.com/p/4-x-aa-aaa-battery-charger-with-1-5-lcd-display-100-240v-ac-35286

But both have an extremely high charging current when they work with one or two cell. Do you think it would damage the battery pretty fast?

Also this (https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/1390) seems to be good but the price in italy was damn to high.

Any suggestion will be appreciated!

No problems charging single AA/AAA's. It has a "Refresh" (Discharge/Charge) function, and shuts down each channel independently as each battery terminates.

It rejects crap (BTY) batteries showing an "Error" message on the display.

For ~$15 it's good value.

https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/1454 I like this charger it can be found on ebay and on amazon for about 13 ~20$ great if you live in austrailia since it has that oddball plug (sorry aus.members ) it can be powered using a cigarette lighter plug off of 12 volts ..handy for the vacationing fool on the lake using the boats 12volt battery has a usb too so it doubles as a charger for your phone i-pod etc ..Just needs a pretty standard wall wart to power it in the house .at one point they were 10$ on schloop/ 3 for 30$ on those one day deals .

OH yeah just for fun the came with 4 duraloops ....

at 10$ they were a steal at 13 $ they are a deal although lately the batteries are now china lsd batteries ..still a deal .. go get some power cords :)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Duracell-Mobile-Charger-4AA-Rechargeable-Batteries-/200634958978?pt=US_Batteries&hash=item2eb6c68482 some of these are just au models some have adapters too

I search this charger (on BLF there's also a review of the admin) but seems that no one ship it to italy...

@Boaz: i tried to find a good deal but they are all between $19 and $21

I have some "crap" batteries (GP and some chinese cell) that i use for some small device where runtime is not a problem. You think charger would refuse to charge it?

You can get a proper delta-v charger with independent channels for only £7.99 from 7dayshop: http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_3&products_id=105029

They used to do a decent Panasonic one at a great price, but I can't find it now. I'm pretty sure they ship accross the EU and do very good prices on most electronics.

How do you determine which of the cheap AA-chargers are the "battery-friers" and which are not?

Charging speed, delta-V, no trickle or all?

I did not dare to buy a cheap charger for Eneloops so I got an MAHA C-9000, now I´m thinking was I overreacting?

The Eneloop data sheet recommends 1C charge current (2000 mA), so I wouldn't worry.

The charger seems to be good and has a great price but on the " Postage and Dispatch Information" i found this : "We currently supply the Bailiwick of Guernsey, Jersey, the UK & it's islands and Eire"...

Dude if you did not live so far i would gladly send you the charger that came with my eneeloops.......

I usually charge them 700mA to 1000mA.

Nah, the Maha C-9000 is way too awesome. I love using it, and it has so many cool functions. That said, I'm sure it's not for everyone. I wouldn't buy my Grandma a Ferrari.

Exactly! Another one is if you already have one that works you may not buy a new one. I found out my old Sony BCG-34HLD I'm using for my camera flash is a smart charger. Then recently I found a Sony BC-CS2A 2 bay charger that came with a very old Sony digicam and it too is a smart charger. The camera was long retired.

My sister wants to buy new batteries and chargers. I'll get her the Sanyo MQR06-E-4-3UWX set.

I see the post only now.. Thank you so much for your offer but i live in Italy.. I think it's pretty far from Virginia Beach... Thanks again.

Yes very far lol.......good portable charger which does not get used much, if my family and I go out of town i will always bring spare batts with me.

Well yes... I cannot see myself replacing it with anything anytime soon. Easy, enough functions, reliable, just nice BUT has some price.
