My EDC needs replaced. I currently carry a LED Lenser p5r. I carry it in an old mini mag light leather holster. It fits in the holster perfectly and the head being bigger than the tube is what makes that holster work. I don’t like the clips that come with many small lights………any good replacement recommendations??

Every flashlight sales listing in the mega-stores notes it’s size, so you can compare them with what you’ve got. Sometimes the head diameter isn’t listed but the pics will give you a good idea of whether it will work for you.
Maglites didn’t need to dissipate heat like LED lights do so they are often slimmer; very few lights can match the slender 13mm size of the Solitaire and I have a similar problem with that, but I found one solution and now I’m looking for a better one. What you want is out there somewhere but it may take some heavy-duty looking to find it- wish I could help further.

Check out the Coast HX5. AA (130 lumen), Nimh (125 lumen), and 14500 (345 lumen). Fits in mini Mag holster, removable (although useful) clip, and available for $20 at Walmart. You can see it in person, buy it, don’t like it, return it.
More and more with all the problems with shipping and fake emitters, local retail is the way to go. LED’s are now in the mainstream
JetBeam WL-S1. It has a larger head and accepts all AA-sized batteries and all CR123A-sized batteries without an extra tube. The fit is by screwing the tail tube farther in for the CR123’s. So, as far as Li-Ions go, it can accept the 14500, the 16340 and the little-known 16500! I use 1200 mAh Nickle-Manganese oxide 16500’s I got on the Bay. With one of these in it puts out somewhere upwards of 700 lm, close but not equal to the BLF A6 SE!
