I bought my son an iPhone for his birthday(in about 22 days) and now my wife says to get him a flashlight too. I’m a bit worried about the time line so HK vendors are a last resort. The boy loves big and XML. Nothing else will do. Manafont is the only HK vendor I will even try if it comes to it. They have the trustfire c8. I would like to try to find something in the USA. DX US warehouse seems to have just a bunch of p7s. Tmart didn’t really have anything. He has a p60 so I need something different like a c8 or Mrv type light. Price range around 30. Any ideas? If I can’t find anything today I will have to take a chance with Manafont.
If it were me I would order from KD- fair probability of receiving within 3 weeks, and if it didn't I'd give a picture of the light and an "IOU".
Almost a month ago I ordered a flashlight from DX USA Warehouse and it has not arrived. About a week after I ordered I was sent email saying that it had shipped.... from China.
Just because you order from the USA warehouse does not mean you will get an item faster.
I'd really consider some of the reputable ebay sellers. I've yet to have something take longer than 2 weeks this year (the last few under 10 days). What do you mean by "big?" A C8 will certainly have a bigger reflector but not necessarily brighter than your average p60 XM-L. As an alternative I'm quite happy with my Keygos KE5 and I don't think the C8 would perform any better. Mine pulls about 2.4A at the tailcap and it's pretty much identical to the C8 types in size and form. However, the Keygos tailstands and the KD C8 switch protrudes a little I believe. I guess this all depends on what you define as "big."
Oh it definitely throws further because of the wider, deeper reflector. I just don't think the laws of physics allow it to be any brighter, haha. But I do think the larger reflector makes for a more versatile light without really compromising over all size. I think we're on the same page and there was a little confusion interpreting my original reply. I'll still recommend the KE5 since that's what you'd get with the KD C8 or similar. I got it in 9 days after purchase.

if you decide to buy that flashlight beware that they sell it with the battery tube inserted in reverse
that means, if you leave it the way it comes, the tail cup will have only two turns to lock the battery
and if you turned it over it will have about four-five turns.

That Keygos (Buy-it-Now link) has had great feedback from many around here and seems to be both good quality and consistent at 2.5A
cyberport appears to be good for US buyers. Took 24 days to get my x9 so not so for Aus buyers
I'd try KD. I always find them to be quick.
