Quite nice. I was looking for a cheaper and more readily available alternative to the DQG lights, with a neutral white emitter and a clicky. This one is a pretty nice size, a bit larger than the twisty DQG but still small. Initial impressions are that it’s a nice, honest light that does what it’s supposed to. Simple reverse clicky (metal), very nice neutral white LED tint, and 3 well spaced modes without mode memory and no strobes. The lowest mode is not moonlight, but it’s usable. The highest mode on an Eneloop is nice and bright, I’d place it somewhere right around the advertised 140 lumens. It’s advertised as stainless steel (304) but I kind of have my doubts; it feels fairly light.
That’s about it. The price at $19 about $17 could be a tad lower, but I’m happy with the purchase.
Right up my alley- my favorite size format, keychain attachable, multi modes, good output, and a choice of cool or neutral white emitters. Oh, and a pretty good price too.
I’d jump but Santa has put finances in a holding pattern, but I’ll land this light as soon as I can!
Oops, my apologies, I linked to the wrong light. My original post showed this one, but I just remembered that it was out of stock and I switched the order to this one. No apparent difference apart from the lack of red O-rings and a slightly lower price.
I think other clips would fit. Perhaps those who’ve tried that should add their experiences to the “What legos with what” thread” or perhaps we could have a separate thread for just clips. Always nice to have all the info in one place making it easy to find!
Yes, the barrel diameter on many of these AAA LED lights is around 15mm. I’ve taken to purchasing throwaway/giveaway ones on eBay just so I can harvest the clip. Some can be had for under $2 and who can’t use a spare small form factor backup in case of emergencies?
BTW, the clip off my 2xAA old school Minimag fits nicely on my Inova X1, and surprising isn’t too much weight to clip on a baseball cap.
