Where do you shop for LED bulbs for home in Europe with warranty?

So basically my local seller went bankrupt and I still need to swap half of the house, mostly E27 and E14. Please suggest European online shops that have a good selection and good quality/warranty too. Thanks.

Or do you buy from China? Why? Where?

Ikea

Lumitronix in Germany has many many bulbs, and their shipping fees (at least to the Netherlands) are not bad.

Ikea?

Edit: I'm too slow :-)

My local hardware stores have good sales from time to time, they also have online shopping options.

Have you looked up your biggest hardware store chain, locally?

I like to look on amazon because you can read some reviews, if a light is garbage someone will probably warn others…

I have to say that I have not to many e27 ledbulbs(maybe half a dozen) and the ones from ikea are not better or worse than the ones from osram. What you have to check is the lumensspecification and not the “equal to a 700000W incandescent bulb” lies. But also don’t get fancy, I once bought a 12W LED light and felt like in a surgery room because it was blindingly bright…

The ones who are dimmable with a normal phasecut dimmer usually make some humming noises, so if you have good/young ears this can be annoying…

I also have some very cheap dimmable gu10led bulbs claimed to 9W each which work very good, bought in a time were brand ledbulbs still costed a fortune.

I bought a few GU10 LED bulbs from IKEA, dimmable & perfect tint - same as halogen GU10. Probably other socket types have same tint. Also cheaper than any other store.

I would not recommend Chinese bulbs unless you have a verified sample - tint is often not right, PWM often visible, some had safety issues (ground connected directly to mains).

I dislike big brands like Philips and Osram because they cost more and the quality is rarely up to the price premium when compared to say Cree Bulbs. Also because of Phoebus participation. Then there are cheap brands like Acme and Smartlight - both with sub-par quality, no warranty. Don’t see anything worthwhile in the biggest stores. Thats why I chose a local LED specialist/importer who actually tested bulbs both electronically and visually. I don’t know what happened - I have been very happy with what I got.

I am going to check out the nearest Ikea and see their own brand. Atleast get one for testing.

Mine are from Ikea or ebay. the ebay ones were actually better.

Do not think anyone gives any warranty on bulbs as poster asks for.

edit; On the other hand my sister did a drop test just for you;
8 feet to her bathroom stone floor and nothing wrong after that.
That was how I figured that they made them of plastic(lexan?),not
glass like the first one I bought.

Tell us more about the Ebay ones?

No IKEAs in Estonia? :frowning:
Their bulbs has improved and they have more to chose
from,like these;
“IKEA 2015 RYET LED Bulb 13W 1000lm”.
Search youtube for reviews.

“Jula” shops in Sweden or Poland have cheap bulbs.

(edit, I have some, but I see customers say they do not last. I buy one at a time and date them with a pen.Have about five,two cold outside with years of use,so will see.)

LED-Lamps from big brands like Osram and Philips are usually woth its price.

The US-market is very different compared to europe. There is a higher demand, so prices cut down much sooner. Cree is only active in the US-market.

The Phoebus participation was generations ago, does not affect anything in the present.

Ikea has some of the Clarus lamps, which are made in germany.
