YEAH I BOUGHT A SKYrs mc3000 and gearbest is giving me crap about getting it repaired here is what they told me

Dear Jason,

I apologize for keeping you waiting for so long and have not notified you about this earlier.

We very much regret issue and are fully committed to resolving it to your satisfaction.

After reviewing your case, please refer to our possible solutions:

1)Return the item back to us.

You can return the item back to China as per our terms and conditions indicated in the link above.

Once we receive the item, we will offer a free repair and send the item back to you.

2)Keep the item and accept a partial refund on GB wallet.

We can offer a partial refund of your product value which is 5 USD on your wallet. This amount can be used for your future orders.

3)Resend a replacement (No return)

We can resend you a replacement but we kindly ask you cover partial cost of item and the shipping fee which is 80 USD. We will then arrange the shipment and send you an invoice if you choose this option.

first it was shipped with a europe plug. i ordered one with a us plug. ok so i used my us plug printer and powered it up. it was working fine untill i started to charge my tenergy c nimh cells and the screen lights up but no digits.

that 5 dollar credit and 10 dollars a new one is bull crap. i already started a thread over at CPF TOO ABOUT IT. I OPENED UP A PAYPAL DISPUTE.

Can you tell us which is the problem with your MC3000? I’m curious.

Also, did they actually asked you $80 for “partial” item cost and shipping? that’s hilarious.

lol

thats so good it may make it into my signature

…. you will get a refund through paypal

Offer GB a FREE SKYrs mc3000 colonoscopy in exchange for a free replacement.

Wow such warranty :stuck_out_tongue:

I am not trying to start and argument so please keep that in mind.

So far we know that GearBest sold a defective charger and is asking for return. To be fair, the OP has not said what is wrong with the new RC3000.

Before we go crazy about how terrible GearBest is (because this could be any vendor)....why has the OP not contacted the manufacturer? Afterall it IS their product and of their product is junk then it will be very short-lived. Especially being a new product they should be more than willing to handle it because if they do not then they will definitely lose any type of endorsement from BLF members.

I really do understand both sides here. Someone has purchased a defective product and the vendor wants the defective product returned for warranty or possibly credit. The international shipping makes it unfeasible for the purchaser. The vendor on the other hand would at least need the product to get credit from their supplier or manufacturer.

The best avenue in my opinion is to go after the manufacturer and if they do not remedy the situation then THAT should be posted here

My fear as far as GearBest is concerned is that there is feeding frenzy that has gone over-board in many cases which results in cases such as this not getting handled which is far from good.

Good Day chewy78,

Could you Please tell us what is wrong with the SKYRC MC3000 Charger you received from GearBest?

Thank you Very Much,

George

That’s when you say: “Thank you for your kind offer, but I’m just going to file a PayPal dispute if I don’t get a full refund today.” and not loose any sleep or get frustrated. I wouldn’t be mad if I lost 100 bucks in a slot machine, and I kind of look at buying direct from China as a form of gambling.

I’ve only had to say that to a couple sellers and both times I got a full refund without an hour or two. I’ve only actually filed a couple PP disputes in like 10 years.

Hi chewy78,

I’m really sorry about that, could you please PM me your order number and detailed informtion about your problems( if picutres can’t tell the problem, please send the video), we will try our best to solve the problem for you in a reasonable way

And yet,You're defending Gearbest in every single "GB problems" thread,it's not even funny anymore.

XXL sized posts with ridiculous explanations is very close to trolling/shilling,by reading your posts general conclusion is that it's more probable that aliens stole package,no way that Gearbest is responsible, even when customers show screen shoots as proof of how bad Gearbest can be,and even after SB "rewarded" Gearbest with AVOID rating due to unusually large amounts of complaints towards Gearbest.

Bugsy36 stop defending Gearbest it’s not even funny anymore.

Can you PLEASE tell us what is wrong with your MC3000? I ordered one just last week from GB, not shipped yet.

And also please keep in mind that this is a very complicated charger and clearly not for everybody, HKJ mentioned in his review that in dummy mode the charger has a 3-hours max charging timer and would not fully charge a 3000mAh+ battery. And in advance mode it requires setting each program previous to charging.

I’m not defending GB neither but what if the charger is not defective? Should GB still provide an immediate replacement? Until evidence is provided we cannot judge.

The problem with the Op Mc3000 is that the screen will light up but it doesnt display text. I am thinking wiring not connected properly.

If gearbest answer is not satisfactory I would definitely get in touch with the manufacturer before opening any disputes with Paypal.

As far as I know to return items the cost of shipping it back has always been on the back of the buyer.

The third option offered by GB is to send you an item right away but you pay $80 and you return the defective item and then they refund you the $80.00 once they receive the defective unit. The OP shoudl clarify that with GB. Otherwise it doesnt make sense.

First...I am not defending Gearbest. Can't see that or understand that...not my problem. I say things the way I see them - rationally and respectfully.

Second - Before I would risk losing a package to international shipping other than DHL (and that does happen but another story) - Gearbest has a US warehouse. Since the OP is in the US he should at the very least negotiate a return to there. I still hold to what I said. Why should any vendor have to "eat" twice the cost of something because the buyer decided to purchase something internationally as compared to down the street when at the same time the manufacturer of the product has a warranty. The Chinese vendors do and do it often but I know that not every claim is legit so where does the line get drawn?

I really want to know if the manufacturer of that new charger stands behind their product. I know that many flashlight manufacturers will not.

For the record, I could give a rats a$$ if anybody deals with GearBest but once they go away watch these great prices from their competition dwindle.

Last to Daniel and Led4power - do you guys have anything to add to this thread OR are you guys just trolling to trash GearBest. You sure as hell did not offer any suggestions to the OP.

Summation:
An unproven, overpriced, problematic charger, IMO in need of a great deal more development, similar to a Swiss army knife, that does everything, but not any one thing particularly well, touted by the most sociopathic troll to have ever stalked BLF, now permanently banned from BLF for being a repeated sociopath, yet shilling along at the overzealous nazi site with other unscrupulous brethren, sold by a knifing bunch of proven thieves, now trying to back pedal before even more members stop buying from them, while being defended by another repeat shill who many are getting sick and tired of, where we might all agree that a new phrase has been coined to most accurately describe GB, and they have already earned an “AVOID” rating with BLF for pissing off the admin and dozens of others!

@chewy78 - hang in there and keep us all posted on your communications with GB. Feel free to copy/paste your conversations with them here becasue we are all concerned that they are trying to rip you off. Also, please IMMEDIATELY start your paypal dispute process NOW and escalate the claim as soon as possible. While not my preferred vendor, GB has tried to rip me off several times. The moment they try to steal my money, I immediately file my paypal claim, escalate my paypal claim as soon as possible and get 100% of my money back 100% of the time. Also, NEVER EVER cancel your paypal dispute until the dispute has been settled to 100% of your satisfaction. GB will use every possible tactic and lie while asking you to cancel your dispute. They will probably even have some blithering idiot who will call themselves a “charger expert”, who will then proceed to ask you some of the stupidest unrelated questions a bipedal organism could ever ask a thinking person. You will waste many, many days repeating yourself and asking what is happening with your order while they ignore you or try to run out the clock so your PP dispute expires before they can refund your money. There is no grey area here, only your prompt refund while ignoring the shills who might tell you otherwise. We need to keep this out in the open and stamp out anyone who might prevent justice from being served. If you find satisfaction, you can always cancel your PP dispute. I can launch a skud missile attack on their shabby GB shack if necessary, and drive the dishonest cretins back into the sea… which they are already familiar with from great experience!

Great summation there I nearly spat my coffee

FlashPilot, I have to say

@flashpilot
Is it mr.squirrel you mention on your post :open_mouth:
