The host looks good with all those cooling fins. It is 1S configuration. Does anyone know how you can mod that to 2S and if it is easy to do that?
https://abload.de/img/htb1cpivx48×3kjjszpiqbheza.jpg

It very much resembles the Q8 in design. It is very hard to convert to 2S. You need a new driver with 4 seperate battery pads. Then you need to glue the battery tube into a locked position so the cells are right above the pads. Then you modify the tail cap pcb to make the new connections. Etc… I would suggest you look up how people have modded the Q8 to 2S to see all the details.

I am not sure if these are all “uncommun budget flashlights”! Flat Stare

Most of them are MecArmy products under a different name…

Are all of the models available under MecArmy products? Do you see anything in their lineup that is uncommon and not sold there (eg the one that has the 福” character), coz i am not entirely familiar with their whole lineup.

I’ll delete the ones that are “commonly available” under MecArmy so that the products posted fit the thread title better.

It’s sometimes difficult to differentiate, eg that Rome Asahi Q30 triple XHP70 /7070 light that’s also posted in the thread, vs Haikelite Q30 triple XHP70 /7070 light.

edit – did a quick check on MecArmy’s site and deleted some stuff

Why are they using the Japanese Yen symbol?

It seems the Chinese yuan (Renminbi) uses the same symbol? This does seem confusing. If the Quantum is really $2000 usd who would buy it?

Oh…i see where you guys are coming from. heh…… it’s not an international site, but for us regular buyers on taobao/tmall/1688 etc over at this part of the world would know that it’s in Chinese CNY/Renminbi. Big Smile

https://www.xe.com/currency/cny-chinese-yuan-renminbi
The currency code for Yuan Renminbi is CNY, and the currency symbol is ¥.

Why is this even more expensive than even the high end lights people on the Flashlight Fanatics group?

Are these made of pure platinum?

That was the reason of my comment mostly Wink
These are very nice flashlight, but some are pricey, some very expensive really, and the thread was more into the budget line!! Cash

I guess all of those are from MecArmy line, being regular or special editions!

Still, thanks for sharing, and keep them coming! “Your markets” (tmall, taobao…) seem to have a lot of models that may not be much known, so bring them to us Big Smile I always love to see new and old models of flashlights Wink

Heh…i guess you’d need to contact them and bargain/offer them a price. In this case i am not sure how much can you get it down to though…..

Ok…seriously speaking for some of the speciality type products listed there, you are supposed to bargain. Some have ridiculous prices, some are priced just a wee bit more expensively than usual. One eg : I really do that for the big inflatable soft kites priced from rmb 500 to rmb 4000, that i also purchase from TB as speciality products, you are supposed to bargain.

I’m not saying that you will need to bargain for all the items on TB or similar chinese cites though. For eg, you are not really supposed to bargain for a rmb 55 kitchen weighing scale. Big Smile
But what you can do is to search for the best prices on the site and get from other sellers.

Actually that one says $7,241 USD! Is that supposed to be a joke? Do they actually intend to sell it at that price?

I think all of us managed to sniff out 2 special/limited models that don’t seem to be carried in MecArmy’s limited line. (I’ve deleted the rest)
But heck are they expensive…… Big Smile And in such cases even for the expert buyers it’d not be that easy to bargain.

I know it was very much a budget light forum back in 2010/2011 (Ultrafire and Trustfire were received quite ok then, eg Trustfure Flame batts, triple XM-Ls etc), but nowadays are you very sure that there is no chatter outside that of budget lights (eg vn lights, maxabeam)? Just look at the main page. Smile

Ha, 10k lumen from 6 x T6. Those only do 700 lm max. So maybe they run them at 400 lumen each for 2400 lumen? Even that might be optimistic. Lol

That looks like a MT03 clone with 3x emitters. If they made that 7x XHP70.2, it can do 30k+ lumens with a TA driver

I’m glad they are still making lights. Their Aliexpress store has been shutdown for over a month now.

Are they only selling on Taobao? I’ve never bought from them. It seems difficult for USA buyers.
