Are these TrustFire Flame batteries any good?

I want some 14500 and 18650 Protected "TrustFire Flame" batteries. DinoDirect has a coupon for September 2011 that makes the following batteries reasonably affordable. (https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/3825 "FREECASH")

14500A: http://www.dinodirect.com/TrustFire-Rechargeable-Li-ion-Battery-900mAh-TF14500.html

14500B Protected: http://www.dinodirect.com/TrustFire-Rechargeable-Li-ion-Battery-900mAh-Protected-TF14500.html

18650C Protected: http://www.dinodirect.com/trustfire-lithium-battery-18650-2400mah.html

18650D: http://www.dinodirect.com/TrustFire-Rechargeable-Li-ion-Battery-2400mAh-TF18650.html

Has anyone tested these recently (maybe in the last two months)? If so, are these TrustFire Flame batteries any good?

Thanks! :)

EDIT: I just noticed, only two of the four links are to batteries that are Protected, which is what I want.

I ordered some TF 14500 unprotected (A) along with a 2100 last week.

Will let you know how they compare with some protected ones I got from DX.

I can't recommend them.

you do can better for 18650's.

The 14500 's are okay but the quality can vary.

heres a dd review

Worth the price. They cost about 2x more than regular alkaline batteries, but last at least 4-5x longer. I've had a pair in a seldom used (about twice a month) Flip camcorder for over two years and every time I power it up, it's ready to go.

I purchased these batteries for my fenix pd31 flashlight. They fit right and work pretty good. I recommend this product if your looking to save money, instead of buying regular ones over and over.
Didnt know the PD31 took 18650's???

PD 31

• Cree XP-G LED (R5) with a lifespan of 50,000 hours
• Uses two 3V CR123A batteries (Lithium)
• 120mm (Length) x24 mm (Diameter)
• the inner diameter of the tube is 18.8mm
might though its not listed like it is with other fenix lights
like

TK 21

• Cree XM-L LED with a lifespan of 50,000 hours
• Uses two 3V CR123A batteries (Lithium) or one 18650 rechargeable battery (Li-ion)

All I can say is the Trustfire Flame 18650 batteries I got have all been very good batteries and take and hold a charge very well.

I have the 14500 protected and for the price i got some good ones......there hit and miss with the quality but for the price you might just get a good set. Compared to AW's the TF's are a tad bit longer, so you might have problems screwing in the tail cap all the way.

I tested some TF flames a few weeks ago I bought on DX. I was not impressed. They came in at about 2200 mah... not bad but they did suffer from high internal resistance. I think the quality has dropped in the last few months. Someone also posted about not getting matching batteries.

However if your getting the 18650's $6.99 their probably worth it.

Sounds like a great deal for only 7 bucks .

Yeah... Ordered some 14500 - Great Price :) After using the Dino Points from the Last Fenix Order just 1.40$ left to pay

edc, I (mostly) agree with you, but I ordered the batteries anyway. :p By the way, I miss your Pinhead avatar; I didn't think that pic was all that disturbing.

I learned that the FREECASH coupon code can be used with every order over $5. If the items you want are less than $20, then create a separate order for each item and milk the freecash. If the individual items are over $20, there are a couple of 10% off coupon codes out there (CABIN10 and DINOGIFTCARD), but I didn't use them because everything I wanted was under $20.

I ordered some Flames- 3000mah in 18650 and the 900mah 14500's from FocalPrice. They may not have the best price but they ship pretty fast and they have Genuine Trustfire Batteries.
