Olight spamming the forum with amazon i3E link.

Recently there has been lots of olight spammers, new accounts created with the sole purpose of announcing the i3E eos with an amazon link. They’re not bots, because each post is different and it is camouflaged in the style of a short review. Also the redaction and grammar is better than what an average Chinese representative would do, so I suspect someone is being paid to do this. Normally I would just report it and forget about it, but this is the 5th time (that I remember) this happens.

Last spammer was called “ike antares” or something like that and it even copied entire threads from other forums. And some of us actually took our time to leave a legitimately reply in the spammer’s thread, without realizing it was spam.

Olight is a respectable manufacturer and they have no need to spam the forum like this.

This is their latest account:

Huh, you’re right that it appears to be a link to Olight’s own Amazon page. I will contact them about this. Thanks for letting me know.

They’ve really gone downhill about the last year or so. The last couple lights of theirs I got have barely been worth the deeply discounted price I paid for them.

I've seen about a dozen new threads in the last three weeks featuring an Amazon link to the Olight i3E.

And most of the threads don't last very long.

Thanks for making this thread, will34! ;)

Olight has crap qc department.

They do, they have yet to replace my dead S20, even under warranty.

Is the Olight I3s reliable?

I recently won a giveaway, and chose one for me and one for Boaz.

I like all of my Olights, the first one was the i6 Paladin that we got for $20.00 from Wallbuys back in 2013, most of us were amazed at what a great light it is, for me it was the first time that I realized that there was quality beyond Fenix.

We should ban all links for members with less than 20 posts.
