Back to imageshack:
My pictures are restored after my email to their serviceteam and now I can download these before februar (I use the Skypath tool).

Light up the darkness.

My images weren’t loading in forums… and when I went to the site to check on it, I was shown a looping grainy video of a kitty hanging onto the edge of a bed and a message “We’re going maintenance — hang in there!” This lasted seemingly for a full day.

Photobucket has become so ad image laden lately, making it frustrating to use their pages for loading and browsing images. I don’t have a ton of photos and my bandwidth is quite low… as I’m just using the account primarily for forums. I was going to load lots of personal photos, but Photobucket interface changes discouraged me.

I personally use my dropbox account to host my pictures. More control as to when I choose to ‘pull the plug’ or have a copy if the hosting service dies (copy is replicated on pc/online).

A big plus… getting link is just a right click>get link away.

Example: My flashlight folder in my public folder. (contains other subfolders for other stuff)

Never thought about using dropbox, I have an an account too.
Can you give any tips? Do the photos need to be in the Public folder.
Thanks

Honestly, I don’t think it matters anymore. You just put it in a folder and right click and click on share. They disabled the functionality of the ‘public’ folder. I even used to host copies of websites on it. Was so easy. Just drop all files in the public folder and send of the HTML link and it would load without any problems.

Sharing files is still easy though/.

never let a cloud hosted copy be the only copy of anything!
could go poof! and you have no recourse.
storage devices are too cheap to let this happen.
and imageshack has long been an annoying POS anyway!
did they delete that dammed yellow frog and yawning cat yet?
