I think we could use some spacer rings so we can fit 24mm Carlco quad optics into some lights. I haven’t yet found a light it fits in, always a tad smaller than the inside diameter of the bezel. We need some kind of ring that will hold it into place for lights that need a few more millimeters to retain it.

there are only 2 problems:
1) it is almost unreal to make them universal
2) flashlight will become non-waterproof.
I have considered different variants of flashlight waterproof from bezel side and that one that I have chosen for X5 quad looks better than others. Parts needs to be precision made, but if they are good you have best waterproof and lowest losses in optics cause you don`t cut it`s edge with bezel.

By the way, I have made some measuments of Manker U11 and seems that upper part from X5 quad set (stainless steel liner/tube) can fit it. But spacer itself is a big problem, I can`t imagine how to make it better.

Have you designed the X5 quad spacer ?
Will it be like DB custom’s that has sides to hold the optic ?

Used Kiriba’s triple pill for a red convoy S2+ build today.

-Triple 219C on noctigon, soldered directly to the pill of course
-8×7135 guppydrv Qlite driver

Everything fits nicely and the driver was easy to solder to the retaining walls. Much better than using the stock brass pill converted to triple pill with a 16mm mcpcb for filling.

Now that I found a quad optic to fit, convoy M1 is fast becoming my favorite host. Spacers is the same type of design as X6, 26mm and a bit taller. Great host. More pocketable than X6 with lots of cooling fins on the head.

So what optics do you use? Carclo or Khatod?

35mm Khatod. It’s the same as the 25mm khatod but with a 10mm apron around it. I use a dremel and sand it down to 30mm for the M1. It’s also twice the hight of a 24mm Carlco quad. A very useful and adaptable optic.

I’m not sure. I get mine from Luxeon star in Canada, but they ship internationally. Prices in US$.
Cutter Electronics in Australia have them also.

This ain’t China. If you want a quad that fits from 25mm to 35mm, that’s it. I’m installing one in an S3/X5 right now. Fits right into the bezel after sanding to 26-27mm. The lenses are 7.3mm taller than a Carlco quad. I had to cut off the legs to fit into the small S3/X5 head. Should have it up and running on Saturday..
