Good catch. I think this is also one of the best lumens-per-dollar-spent deals around. Especially if it is really driven at 2.8A

If only the host were not the infamous 501b...

I seem to recall a few of the lads have this one and sadly its only driven at around 2A not 2.8A. Still a good deal though and far better than any 501b with XP-G drop-in.

Probably the same drop in sold with the 501b from MF for a few $ more.

if it is up to 18v it could be interesting

if it's the same as mine, it's 2A buck driver working with one 18650 (2A draw) and two 18650 (1A draw) no problem :)
