Gearbest account hacked or website going awry...

Hi guys. Anybody experiencing weird logging on issues on gearbest?
The name of my account has changed from M S to Yudha Sanyoto. I lost all my GB points worth $250 ish of credits. I am stuck on a payment and do not want to complete it for fear of it getting shipped to that address.

When clicking from my gmail and on “view order” I can log on my account and view my full points. However, that address below keeps appearing even when I change it and save. Anybody having same issues?

Points: 12387 Points = $247.74 Credits
My GB Wallet:$0.00

Adress changed from my country in MAURITIUS to:
Yudha Sanyoto
Jalan Tun Ismail
Villa Putra Condominium, 33B-08-02
Kuala Lumpur,Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur,50480
Malaysia
Mobile Phone:1123233649
Email:yudhasanyoto@gmail.com

Reset your password immediately and correct the address, most likely YOU got hacked or your password got guessed and your account there taken over.
Take it back.

PS, Gearbest has a screwy system where — if your registration doesn’t have the same email as your PayPal, they create a second account for you with the userid copied from your PayPal account.
Then you need to reset the password on that one.

TK explained it’s something that just happens with some vendors, apparently.

So if you started by registering with a unique email address to avoid spam, you end up with 2 accounts with separate “points” even if they have all the other info the same.
I”ve never been able to get them to sort that mess out.

Hum…changed passwords but cannot edit out names, shipping address….

Maybe replace some letters and numbers for X in that address.

Nasty experience, do you use passwords on multiple sites?

How you made 12387 points ??? !?

Did you try adding a new address first (the correct one)?
It ought to be the same one PayPal uses, so whatever’s bought does come to you.

Then you ought to be able to make that primary and delete the other one.
Whether someone hacked your account, or they have a database screwup and are showing you some other customer’s address (and points?) — either way it’s messy

And did you get this from GB?

Maybe they are messing with you so you cannot use your points.

Managed to change the address today….Hopefully, it will stick. I’ll report a bit later. Kid using PC now.

It has been fixed guys. Corrected by itself. I was using another address + name to ship items to me as Customs was blocking items on my name (too much purchases). It is all sorted out now. Maybe this is what caused it. Lol.

Wait what…no wait WHAT?
Customs are blocking you?
WUT?
Where are those “lost islands” I see as your location?
And how much to you order?
I must have received 800 parcels from other countries the last two years, among them an entire drum set and piano from Germany, total value of it all multiple thousands of Euros, no problems had to pay €32 tax once.
The government of those Lost Islands must be rather bizarre.

Country: Mauritius.

We are limited to 10 devices (personal use) TOTAL in the ranges of laptops, tablets or mobile phones OR 5 in any category and I have imported way way way above this limit.
To purchase more, I would have to get clearance from an authority which asks for so much information that it is not practically feasible or I would have to get an import permit which would then make all my online purchases get blocked and pay my VAT without any $65~ish exemption on each purchase which I would be entitled else.

Kind of complicated. lol.
Done to ‘protect’ those shitty companies charging an arm and a leg for their mobiles…

Hi,
Newsletter from gearbest :
“at the end of every calendar year, each customer’s unused GB Points automatically expire and reset to 0.
We’ve made two small changes this time round:
Only GB Points earned before OCT 31 will reset; points earned after that will not be lost.
Deadline has been extended to MAR 31, 2016.”

Oh wauw just love the coat of arms

How is it energy-wise with you?
I can imagin there is just a limit on how much can be produced, it is not like they can connect a few cables to get more energy so limiting the use seems logical right? 7 million devices will consume quite a few watts

Thanks. Not too bad the coats of arms :stuck_out_tongue:

As I said before, this has more to do with ‘protecting’ local mobs, erm I mean businesses
