Some of those prices are sick!

Even with shipping to the USA, these prices undercut anything that I’ve seen at Gearbest, Aliexpress, Fasttech, and DHGate.

Ditto, no records of anything at all about this website.

Website was created in August 2015.

Interestingly, the proprietor, John Li has been selling knives on Aliexpress for the last four years: [link]

The Aliexpress store is now just a front. He no longer is selling any merchandise there. Instead, he seems to have opened this new store, Hengsheng, and he offers Aliexpress as one of the options for payment.

I suppose this is to provide some measure of buyer assurance to the customer.

DHgate.com has still a good selection of knives and has the same buyer protection like AE

I took the gamble and purchased the following items:

$3.05 – Gerber 342, 65mm blade, 3cr13mov steel, color: dark gray, steel handle, QuickOpening assist, liner lock

$5.33 – Kershaw 3800 folding knife, 53mm blade, 3cr13 steel, nylon fiber handle, liner lock

$8.77 – Kershaw 1730ss, 76mm blade, 8cr17mov steel, bead blast steel handle, SpeedSafe assist, frame lock

+ $7.05 shipping

=================

Total: $24.20

I figure on saving over 50% when compared to the next lowest vendor, even after including shipping. Smile

Now the long wait …

Note: The risk in this deal isn’t non-delivery. Such loss would be covered by Paypal or my AmEx credit card. The risk is that the product delivered is of woefully poor quality. I’m not sure how Paypal or AmEx would treat that situation, because the seller’s terms expressly states that they will reimburse a maximum of 20% of the purchase price in such an instance.

I’m wondering if – on the clone knife “market” – for a specificated clone knife, there can be several manufacturers or one manufacturer/factory that will make all the copies of a specificated knife ?

At least the seller is honest about selling counterfeits, and the fact they might get seized at customs

“The knives are mostly imitations, but the quality
is good. If buyers do not like fake goods,
please don’t buy and thus avoid unnecessary disputes.

The seller is not responsible for import customs clearance. If the goods is detained,
the buyer and the seller shall each bear half of the cost”

Took a gamble too. Ordered 3 all on the biggish side.  Doubt they have the advertized steels, but I don't think the site is false advertising.  Actually, the site seems refreshingly honest about the steels.  I just think they have limited info on these.  Would be very cool if they were actually as advertised.:

EDIT:  I just got an email from the vendor informing me that I have been refunded in full because the Venom was not in stock.  Paypal verified that I have been refunded the full amount.

". . . You realize that wasn't really a loss for me in Africa — it was a gain that I didn't appreciate."

I want to get a Kershaw Amplitude 3.25 3871 & a Kershaw Volt SS 3655.

These are available for purchase on DHgate.com

(I'm providing Amazon links because I know they're real on Amazon.)

Amplitude on Amazon

Amplitude on DHgate

Volt on Amazon

Volt on DHgate

On DHgate, are they real, or are they fake?

Fake ones
Regarding the price, you should buy an OEM Amplitude

racoon, those Kershaws are made in China and there is no reason to believe they are not out of the same factory. I think if they were fake they would be a lot cheaper than that.
I bought a CRKT M21 on AE and I am absolutely positive that it is the same knife i would have bought from any “reputable” dealer for 18$ more.

Okay, I ordered the Amplitude from DHgate.

(I'll get the Volt some other day.)

And the prices of the two knives that I provided links for have gone up sharply since the time of my order!  :-O

Chinese customs.
European customs would send a notice to the addressee.

I received my order from HengSheng today (ordered on 3/30/2016):

Gerber 342, 65mm blade, 3cr13mov steel, steel handle, quick opening, frame lock
Kershaw 1730ss, 76mm blade, 8cr17mov steel, bead blast steel handle, SpeedSafe assist, frame lock
Kershaw 3800 Shuffle, 53mm blade, 3cr13 steel, nylon fiber handle, liner lock

Comments:

Gerber 342: http://www.sh0142-hk.com/gerber-342-steel-shank-quick-opening-match-colo...
Nice, pocketable folding knife. Spring-assisted opening. Sharp, shaved the hairs off the back of my hand when I tested it. Frame lock took a bit of effort on my part to close, somewhat stiff – but manageable with one hand.

Kershaw 1730ss: http://www.sh0142-hk.com/kershaw-1730ss-8cr17mov-allsteel-titanize-oem-p...
Very nice, 76mm blade hits my sweet spot. I like knives 75 to 80mm. Spring-assisted opening, well-balanced, fits my hand well. It came sharp (I lost enough hairs testing my Gerber, so I didn’t repeat that test). Good looking knife, I like it a lot. Negatives: pocket clip is “vise-grips tight” and almost impossible to use. And the frame lock is extraordinarily difficult to open with one hand. Even with two hands, it takes a bit of effort to pry open.

Kershaw 3800 Shuffle: http://www.sh0142-hk.com/kershaw-3800-3cr13-gray-titanium-nylon-fiber-wh...
A small knife with only a 53mm blade, light-weight, very EDC-able. Delivered equally sharp as the others. But I cannot recommend it because it doesn’t lock. The liner lock mechanism is a hair too long (maybe as little as 1 mil too long) to lock in the blade. I’ll have to disassemble the knife and file down the liner lock to get it to work right.

EDIT: Filed down the liner lock, just took a hair off the inside edge of the lock. The Kershaw 3800 Shuffle now works perfectly. Easy, one-hand action to open and close. Smile
