What are we up to order wise now 120 ?
Would it be worth getting CPF Italia onboard like the Cometa buy (may be contact Cyberscudo) ?
I would imagine that that would allow at least 250 orders to be generated minimum ?
There has always seemed to be a good deal of interest in getting a good quality SRK style light & at the spec & price point suggested I think interest will be high.

Oh we are just in the starting phase and already so much interest!
When a manufacterer is found and we have a clear idea how it is going surely more will follow.
Is we get stuck further down the road in terms of interest yes posting on other fora is a good plan.
For now I’d say we keep it to ourselves while still discussing specs and features.

Add me to the list of those interested.

All depends on final price and specs but I’m definitely interested.

Was only looking at SRK’s last night but don’t really trust any of the sellers I was seeing so love the idea of a reputable option coming up!

OK we need some help from the collective knowledge of BLF.

Does anybody know who makes the SRKs.
There must be at least two factories pumping these out, maybe more

Does anybody have a lead for me to follow

A company that makes them now should be able to adapt the process in order to produce a good one based on specs we provide. If the will is there it is doable!
A BLF designed SRK, with 500 initial sales and afterwards having a real decent light in the portfolio I think we have a good foundation to build the House of Will on.

What about manker? If I’m not mistaking he (manker) have made a couple BLF lights before.

I don´t know if this could be helpful but Simon from Convoy might at least have a deeper knowledge or even some contacts to possible factories since he designs his own flashlights – they need to be build somewhere…. Our valued BLF user J-Dub74 seems to have a direct connection to him.

At least Simon has a good knowledge about how a flashlight should work, and his level of flashlight making is about what we want: very decent quality for a budget price. But I would expect him (like Supfire did with the M6) to come up with his own design of the concept 4×18650-4emitters and not copy the SRK looks. I would not mind a fresh design btw.

True
Manker should be able to do it.
It is a OEM

Simon sells Convoys, but Convoy is not an OEM, Dipper is another name for the same lights for example.
And well Simon is not the most responsive of guys, has health issues and is working on the XHP light now

If we can find a OEM that is making the SRKs now design wise it would mean making the threads square, adapting the inside of the Head, the rest of the housing would be UB their computers already.
Should take less time to adapt existing CAD models and load them up to machines capable of working with the exact size chuncks of ALU we need then starting from scratch right?

Not reallly, yes Simon sells lights that are/look the same as others. But he has some original designs and lights.
He designs them and makes them (= he is controlling the proces) As seen before, Simon could design an entire new light and make it, and he might be able to do it within a couple of months.
But as you said, he might not be in the mood to do it right now.

That is indeed the easiest and cheapest way.

Yea but also convoy doesn’t build a light like this yet? so he would have to start from scratch?

Me too. Every time I go camping with the Slide in, I get asked where I got the srk and how can they get one!

Why not ask Noel (Fasttech) or Milana (GearBest) where they got all that SRK clones?

Yes, my friends and I are fully aware of the GB timeframe.

I was lucky enough to enter several recent GBs toward the end, so I deserve to wait!

I’m currently #11, #12, and #40 on the list. Can you put me on the list twice more?

I now need a total of 5 lights… LOL

I’m definitely interested in this one, depending on how it turns out and the final price.

That price point seems optimistic but doable. I’d be interested in one.

I am in for one.

Direct Drive and 219c would be nice. But becaus of the low Vf it must be limited to a maximum of 6A per Emitter.
XP-L Hi would be nice too.

Thanks!
