Hi, just thought I’d warn you guys about Focalprice phishing.
Recently they had a Xiaomi gamepad on a flash sale at a silly £2.13 - saw it on an offer site I am a member of (one of the biggest UK deal sites, HotUKdeals).
Strangely when I received my paypal receipt it said in the title ‘PHISHING’ which immediately got me worried, so I called paypal who said it was a bit weird, but not to worry as all was fine - apparently that was the information focalprice had asked them to put in the title. The order was then cancelled by focalprice the next day saying it was an error and the money would be refunded within 48 hrs……which needless to say never happened (claim filed now)
Anyway, it seems phishing was exactly what they were doing, a large number of the people who bought the item have been receiving phishing emails/texts/call since the day after they paid (including me) - it has become apparent they have sold all our details on to spammers/fraudsters.
Just a warning to be careful when using Focalprice
Used focalprice once, buying 4 samsung inr 20r and i had no problems receiving them. But that was over a year ago.
I have used them once before too, and didn’t have a problem - but never again.
I used them once way back but never again. Sent wrog item. Bait and switch they did.
