Simon does have a rubber tailcap version of the clear S2+ (I have one), but you have to ask him for it. I asked him as I remembered seeing a picture of one (possibly in this thread) and he said OK. I’m not sure if he has the clear S2+ tailcaps with rubber boots in stock or they’re are just left overs from the prototype fase, or he just throws an S2+ tailcap in the clear anodizing line (I have no idea how his chain of production works)

PS: I believe ordering from his Aliexpress store will be cheaper

Thank you for this advice Thumbs Up

Yes I always believe in purchasing Convoy products direct from Simon’s store, but never saw rubber tail cap clear S2+ listed there.

Hoping the clear 18350 tube comes out soon, looks like desert tan S2+ has 18350 available Love

I have noticed on ebay there is a seller who has the Clear S2+ with a rubber boot tailcap:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Convoy-S2-Silver-XP-L-HI-7135×8-3-5modes-Rub...

Is this likely to be a clone/fake? I did not see any clear S2+ in Simon’s store and did not know that the rubber switch version was officially released by him?

I’ve never seen that before but it certainly looks legit. If that’s a fake they did a disturbingly good job. I just sent an email to Simon asking about this. It’s something we discussed long ago but I didn’t hear anything about this being produced. I’ll let you know as soon as I find out what’s going on. Thanks for the heads up.

Thinking about the Clear Convoy S2+ from Fasttech, Simon says he's out-of-stock...

Do all Clear Convoy S2+ with Mechanical Switches from Fasttech have Blue LED's in the tail?

Would just swapping-out the Mechanical Switch for a 16mm translucent/white tailcap still work the UI and show Blue LED's?

Thanks!

If you’re talking about the metal switch cap versus the rubber switch boot, the hole sizes are different.

Tailcaps that take a switch boot have a bigger hole than tailcaps that use a metal switch cap.

Would a 20mm rubber switch boot work?

I honestly don’t know what size you’d need; I haven’t needed to take a metal switch cap apart yet.

20mm won’t work, the threaded hole for the metal switch is only around 10mm in diameter or so (The metal tailcap switch assembly screws into the tail cap)

If Simon says he is out of stock you could also go with the ebay rubber tailcap clear S2+ I linked above.
