Shenzhen -> HK via land, Thursday start of journey, sorting, transport and enters HK Saturday. Sorting again before waiting for the next available flight. Leaves HK Monday. This is for MF, DX, CNQG, KD for quite a few items. It could take a few days from order to even start shipping, so that's already a slight delay.
I wonder how many ebay sellers ship direct form HK. You gotta wonder if that's how most of them become as successful as they are. Maybe they intentionally locate themselves in HK in order to capitalize on shipping. But then again, maybe I'm a moron :P
As I understand it, a great deal of bulk airmail out of HK is loaded as access cargo on passenger airliners. The availability of space/additional weight on the fleet fluctuates daily and can sometimes cause huge delays. Can anyone confirm?
They do. Most successful sellers are based in HongKong. The benefit on mainland china is the cheap cost of operation
From what I understand Hong Kong despite being turned over to China has been left on it's own in terms of governance. So the systems in place are still what was existing during British Control.
The cheap shipping is due to government subsidies to promote their products.
I only read these from other forums don't quote me on it. =)
It's probably just the printing. Think they merged with 4px or something and i'd believe 4px is their subsidiary. But still it is their personell doing the work.
Arrived from HK at Singpost! Hope they can push to the Delivery base by today and then tomorrow can deliver, and failed delivery so that i can collect from the post office on Saturday (no delivery on Sat, but PO does open half a day and i can collect)
