The ones I have, have 20mm drivers. However brute force had to be used to remove one of them…the one I couldn’t get to. Which version do you have? Is the driver easy to get to? Could you take a picture of the driver and retaining ring? Here’s the one I have below.
Yes that is how I removed the driver on the one pictured on the left. I tried it with the other (newer) one on the right, but the thicker retaining ring just would not budge. Fortunately, I believe I read somewhere that the current ones have simply threaded retaining ring.
I have 2, both have the same driver but one is pressed and 1 has a screw in retainer. If you are going to junk that driver… I would love to take it off your hands. This driver has an exceptional low mode and decent regulated high mode with 5 second on time memory. Stock driver works well with lighted tailcap with out having to add a resistor to the driver.

Awesome… Thanks. I have thought about modding mine, but I really do not have a good reason to. The only mod I can think I would like would be a FET triple, but not really. I did put an OP reflector in the one that I use all the time.
I pulled it from a shadow jm20. They are a perfect match and I wanted a smooth in the jm20.
