Help Needed. Tank TK703 Not Working

Hi all, need some advice here on how to fix my Tank, I guess not so tank anymore. It's my edc and it just wouldn't switch on properly. I've cleaned it with isoprop and lube all its threads. Put in a new cell and it just wouldn't turn on. It would only turn on when I unloose the head little by little and either by pulling its head out or pushing it in. Tried every other possible way I could think of. Any thoughts?

Did it used to work fine and then just started acting this way?

Yeah. It was working fine till 2 days ago. :(

Its usually a bent spring. The one attached to the driver. Often happens with 703's, especially if ever you use the longer Protected 10440's. The whole light separates into three parts - Head, Body Tube and Switch. Its often hard to unscrew the head end but it will undo. Once apart just gently bend the spring back to a more central position. That will almost certainly fix it.

Yes it worked now. Awesome. Thanks for that. :)

I have the same problem here. The flashlight lights some time, but not every time.
I didn’t manage to unscrew the head from the flashlight.

Do you know where I should unscrew ?

This is a great flashlight, and I hope to be able to fix it.

Thanks,

Tom

The join is just to the lens-side of the TK-703 mark in yout pic.

Welcome to the monkey house, vort!

Aloha and welcome to BLF vort!

Thanks for the greetings.

@VFMaddict: I will try to unmount that thing. I didn’t notice at all that I can be opened there ! I will buy a pair of muscles before

Thanks all, unscrewing the TK703 was ok.

I had to reduce the spring length (pushing hard on it using a battery), and then the light is ok now !
Before that I tried to lenghten the spring but it was not working.

Again, thx !
