Hi everyone,

Sorry about the site outage for the past 12 hours or so. We somehow hit the bandwidth limit of the hosting account. I honestly don't understand how that happened, I have been monitoring the bandwidth and it was well below the limit last time I checked a month ago. Anyway, the hosting company was cool about it and they extended me the new higher limits of my hosting package, which they increased after I had purchased. That should substantially hold us over during the forseeable future.

Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

Sincere thanks for your concern and thoughtfulness Don, I really appreciate it. No, we're still on the most basic hosting package that our host offers, and now that they have given me the free upgrade to the more generous disk and bandwidth limits, it didn't cost me any more this time. Thanks to the Adsense ads I run here I can easily cover the hosting costs.

Whew... glad I slept through it. 12 hours awake w/o BLF would be unbearable.

Thanks for your honesty on the funding of the site. Most forums "cry poor" all the time... and I'm not even talking about other flashlight forums. Please just let us know if the situation ever changes.

Glad the site is back up. I was thinking you had used up your September allowance and I'd have to wait until tomorrow to check up on BLF.

I saw BLF was down when I went to bed last night. I forgot all about it when I logged in this morning. It must be all the pics we've been uploading that rocked the bandwidth load. :)

I didn't even realize there was costs associated with running this site besides the large amount of your time it must take.

Thank you so much for keeping the site alive, it has become a big part of my life.

I attend on a few local "general talk" -forums.

They have the same principle, very free speech in general, hosting-fees are paid by volunteers.

Every now and then some OP gives a notification when funds are getting low, we get´em collected in just about day or two every time.

No extra statuses or such given from donations or anything priviledges like that.

There is no such thing as a free lunch but hey; we are here for good BUDGET lunches!! :D

I would also like to help if i can......more and more are joining each day so you guys remember my old post about having 100 members, well i think we surpassed that lol. I remember joining and there were only a handful of us and now it takes more then my fingers and toes to count all the members here.
