UltraTac K18 Brass - Mods & Lighted Switch

Nichia 219C D320 5000K on Cu DTP MCPCB
Flat top cell compatible
Potted driver
Lighted low profile GITD switch 0.7ma drain
Tailstands
Magnetic tail
Lockout-able
Graphite aesthetics
Chemical patina

Cut off keyring attachment and applied graphite/ resin mix

Swapped emitter to Nichia 219c, upgraded wires, installed LED under switch and filed out retaining ring

Lighted switch operation

 Very nice mod! Regarding the non-fitting positive driver contact: I had the same problem with mine, Efest 10440 just didn't make contact because of the driver retaining ring. I just put a blob of solder on the positive driver contact and then it worked.

 

Where did you get the neodymium magnets from?

Thanks. I would usually solder a thin copper circle to the driver contact but i made the copper button disc as a temporary measure until i work up the courage to go for getting that retaining ring out, then i will dremmel the offending ledge away so the cell fit through it.

I use spider magnets in the UK
