Semi groupbuy Jaxman X1 host

Jaxman agreed on a second semi groupbuy of a host
Reflector based X1

See link for the info, it should be clear.

Sorry there is no extension tube and the Z1 extension tube won’t fit the X1
Nevertheless a more then interesting host I think.

X1 host for BLF

OK thanks Jaxman!
I ordered one
And we are driving through massive hills with an altra slow internet connection (I just could not wait :D)

I like this host, but what I really want to know is how old is that Pepsi can…it has a pull tab.

Regarding the X1, mine is making 165kcd with a XP-L HI V2 1A driven at 5A with an LD-2. The build quality of this light is top notch and the unibody construction helps a lot with the heat. The only reason I don’t use mine much is because of the weight, I prefer 18650 lights most of the time.

Many cans in China are made with that type of pull tab :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for setting this up. What’s the difference of rather what are the pros and cons of this vs a convoy l2? I’m looking to build my first 26650 thrower with an XPL not a -XP-G. Thanks!

Sorry I have no answer here other then that I know the L2 can be extended and the X1 can’t.
When the Z1 host GB started people asked for the X1 host so here it is

Hmm I thought this one would be a bit more popular because the X1 was asked for when the Z1 was introduced as a host.
Love the design of the X1 and can’t wait to hold it

And my X1 host is shipped, thanks Jaxman.

im curious about the throw from the reflector.

How far can it throw? can anyone confirm the distance?

Recently I received the stock light and am pretty happy with it. Great looks and it seems like a quality made light. Didn’t do any measurements, but IMO it is a good thrower which almost shines as far as the Cometa.

I got the X1 (stock for now till I get home) and take some measurements, but I can’t wait to read what you think of it?

will34 posted the I.D. is 50.35 mm, so my guess is it's about a 60 mm head size because of the 54.8 O.D. of the reflector, which puts it in the Manker U21 class. The I.D. is the most critical measurement on how good a thrower it could be.

Ahhh - found the dimensions on BangGood, Amazon, and HKEquipment.net - not on the Jaxman listings or thread, that I could find.

Jaxman X1: 154 mm x 59 mm x 35 mm, Manker U21: 148.0 mm (length) x 59.0 mm (head) x 35.8 mm (tube/tail)

The reflector I.D. compares about equal to the Manker U21, and my U21, modded, is doing 1,700 lumens, 240 kcd, 6A at the tail, on a dedomed XPL V6 0D, actually not fully dedomed, sliced and scraped, and not focused well. I would think this X1 is as capable, maybe better - all quality, looks like - reflector, lens, thermally.

The Miller, I just want to say Thank You for getting this X1 available for us,
I was going to just go buy another complete light today and saw the host, what a surprise I assure you, and a great deal ha ha ha,

Anyhow, Thank You again The Miller…!! You are awesome…

Jaxman is awesome, offering these hosts for a fair price, I think it is about the highest % deduction for a host vs complete light, really nice!

My X1 host arrived just now
Wauw what a beautiful light this is
Perfect finished, very nice fins in cool design.
Well protected during shipping.

This light is so beautiful I don’t understand why it is not super popular but I thank those asking for this host when the Z1 host action started!

The Miller this is the first time you’ve had one in your hands you say?
Yes indeed, I remember when I got mine about 6 months ago or so and I just sort of starred at it for must have been an hour, it is some beautiful work, I am surprised that people are not jumping all over these…
I keep thinking about getting another X1 host but decided to buy the new non anodized L6 from Simon today and maybe get another X1 tomorrow haha, who knows.
Enjoy that light it is a beauty for sure.

Yes it is the first time I see this beauty

Here some phone pics

The fins

That light is beautiful and I’m sure you noticed just how well balanced it is at that tri-pod screw in adapter point, you hold this light in one hand and an L2 in the other you can really tell the difference as far as balance, and beauty, 3 layered heat fins, one round and two offset to each other, just feels really good to hold in your hand for sure.

Ordered.
