Solid pill for SK98?

Does anyone know where can a solid pill for SK98 be found? I was looking for a SK98 solid pill but it is really hard to find. I found one from FT and the reviews said it was solid, however today it arived and it is hollow. If I get another host, it most probably will be hollow again. That is why I ask about only a pill.

I have some free shortened copper pills for SK68 triple.
Upd. Show you pill. May be the most easy way to fix it is pressing solid cu/al rod inside.

Here is what i did to fix the issue, nothing serious but better than before.

Chopped some alu mcpcb and filed it to fit in the hole.

Anyone know how to remove the pill from SK98? I tried to use the screwdriver and tried to unscrew in both directions but it doesn’t budge.

Glue/heat/cold? It might also have been cross threaded on install.

What do you mean Glue/heat/cold?

It could be glued. I don’t think so on this light.

You can try heating the body and cooling the pill.

Heat the body near the pill with a hairdryer untill it it hot. Try to unscrew.

Heat the body until hot then place ice in the pill to cool just the pill. Try to unscrew.

You can try wrapping a rubber glove around the end of the pill and another around the body for the extra grip that the rubber will provide.

If you look a few posts above you will see how BobbyMK cut slots in the sides at the top of the pill, probably with a hacksaw - after removing the led. The slots let you put a thin screwdriver through them to get extra turning leverage.

If all else fails you will need to use strap wrenches like this
available at Harbor Freight or other hardware store.

Good luck!

I wonder if this copper pill would fit in a SK98 ?

Once again.

  1. It is not copper
  2. It wont fit.

hahahaha

I don’t know, they wrote on it “copper”

where can I find a solid pill for it  ?

You can find piece of cu or alu rod and press fit it, to make solid shelf instead of air.
