With DX, how common is it...?

...to receive one item (ordered more recently than another item) earlier than that other one?

Today I received a drop-in I ordered from them.  The shipping notice for that item was e-mailed to me on September 27.

However I am still waiting on an item whose shipping notification was sent on September 14.  According to some reviews I have seen, this is not an unusual time to wait, it's just disconcerting that I received the more-recently ordered item first.

It has been a month and a day since I ordered that first item.  Too early to complain?

This has happened a few times to me. It is disconcerting but I have never had a problem.

I've been dealing with DX for 3-4 years now and they have never failed to deliver a product but shipping & delivery times have varied from insanely fast to insanely slow. Never had a defective product nor a bad experience with their customer service. I just make it a habit to never order something i need right away and never order between mid december thru february.

Not in a rush; I am a very recent victim of the flashlight bug/flashaholism and this was my first time dealing with them.

Thanks for the replies gentlemen. Smile

That is part of the mystique of the Chinese vendors you never know what or when you are going to get.

It is a very hard addiction/disease to cure yourself from but very harmless to some extent. One of our worse enemies ...

I may have said this b4 , but I made an order that was shipped in Nov. 2010.  I got a refund and it showed up at my door March 2011.  They do audit and requested the $$ or the items back. so it's not so much DX or whoever, the mail is broken especially around holiday time it seems.

I had made orders after this order and they all showed up.  In the end I looked up the prices of the items many months late and "negotiated" a price to pay for them a bit lower than they were worth at the time of delivery.

All in all it's not something to worry about.  only worry when u get close to your dispute date.

It's normal.

I've had later orders delivered long before earlier ones quite often.

Christmas is near

This post/thread "may" contain referrals, a little contribution I "earn" in form of points ONLY if you buy the item. The purpose is to redeem items using the points and then making reviews of them in the forums to shar

I agree. Shipping times will vary regardless of ship-out date so patience is key. Recently happened with dinodirect as well. Item B was shipped out 5 days after item A, but item B was delivered 9 days before item A. lol

DX has multiple suppliers and delivery times vary by supplier.  some of them are fast.  some of them are slow.  the supplier name is listed on the bottom of each product page.

JrElectronics and Yanglight have been the fastest for me.  Opurstech has been the slowest.  YMMV.
