With as popular as the C8 type flashlights have become recently, do you think it's time manufacturers capitalize on a larger standardized drop-in? It seems there's room in the markets for enough sales and profitability to justify another standardized drop-in size. A ~60% size difference should be enough to prevent cannibalization. I'd like to see Solarforce jump all over this and become the innovator and leader in the C8 sized drop-in. What should it be called? Certainly not P90 because we might have a lot of disappointed customers when they realize their flashlight didn't give them 10 pounds of lean muscle :P
I think it's lck-led that already sells a nice heavy C8 replacement pill in solid brass. If some C8 fan on BLF who owns a variety of C8 lights from differnt manufacturers would get one and see if it fits them all we'd already be a step in the right direction. I might even volunteer to make them for sale like e1320 does with the p60 pills. ;)
