Thanks mattlward!
I like the Nichia 4000K and as of now have only experienced the one’s from Illumn, the 219B V1 4000K in D200 bin.
It is a nice tint but I would like to get something that is a little more rosier.

I ordered some 4000K 219C from Clemence, but might have to try some of these out too!

Nichia do vary some, their tint chart can be found and the 405 is not a real tight binning. I think you will like them, the are nice. My original blf a01 has my favorite tint, but I think the reflector plays some part in the tint. I have not been able to duplicate it, very rosey.

EDC rotation:
Convoy S2+, 6*7135, XM-L2 3D, 10 degree TIR, PilotDog lighted tailcap.
Convoy S2+, H17F, XM-L2 4C, lighted tailcap
Zebralight SC52w-L2
Olight S1A
Olight S1R

Forgot to add, at high drive current the tint is so pure on these unlike Cree

Rey,

Got mine in a few weeks back, and with some help from RMM at Mountain Electronics, I now have 12 of these in a M43 Noctigon Meteor!!

As others have said, the tint is beautiful and even, the high CRI makes the 5500+ lumen flood fantastic with colors… Sincerely appreciate your offering of these here!

Any members here that have not tried Nichia emitters or high CRI or 4000K tint range, do yourself a favor and pick up a couple of these. This is a fantastic emitter for $4.

Now that is a light I’m really jealous of! Nice!

Question, something I’m really curious of and you may have the answer with all those leds in one light:
If you set the Meteor very low, you can see all those 219c high CRI leds simultaniously: since these leds are not binned very tight (I guess they are 5-step McAdam), do you see much tint variation at all in reality?

On the lowest level, I can see all LED’s illuminated, so the bin is within spec for a 4ma level (in series IIRC). As the 4000K is available in higher luminance bins, it will be utilized more.. I am so impressed with the tint and color that I would do my whole house lighting in this if it were available and I could afford it!

DJOZZ, I will get a bezel off picture posted later…

Hi Rey, How are you on LED’s, drivers ? Also I know you won’t recall but on the other thread I raised some questions regarding rings in the reflector beam shot and sent you a pic of what I was talking about and you thought it was brass reflections? Well just read your update on the OP about the reflectors. Can I place an order if LED and all are still available and request 2 reflectors for my lights? All one shipment maybe? I knew it was that reflector, I wet sanded one and improved it a lot but doesn’t look quit like you perfect beam shot. Thanks Rey

Yes, sure I can send you two. pls pm me your shipping address.

Here is a picture comparison of my 3000K XPL HI vs the 4000K 219C 9050’s from Rey on the 4ma (lowest) output.. The 4000K have very little visible variance to my eye.

3000K on the left in both pics.

Thanks ReManG. No, that looks nice, better than what I would expect from 5-step McAdam leds. Perhaps Nichia has their production so well under control that the majority of leds fall close to the center of tint bin regardless in which category they will be put later.

No problem, I think most of the lack of variance is Nichia, but also that Rey buys them from the same reel for each batch. I would imagine a half dozen from several different places in the reel across a few reels all together like this would show more variance.

I’m sorry Rey that it has taken this long to get back to you about those Pineapple reflectors and lots more,
Really would like to speak with you about a post I saw somewhere in Nov 2016 I think, but can’t find it now, had to do with the Ti X6 extra left over parts, like when the knurling went bad, so what I read is that there was battery tubes with no knurling and heads I think without trit slots and a email to get a hold of a lady I think it was,
I am still sitting on my Ti X6 and wanted to get some of these parts also if possible, want to try what Dale did with flaming but want to practice on extra parts, also looking for about 4 of the old drivers from your ReyLight copper Lumintop back in January 16, if you still have those around it would be really great, and if possible about 10 of the 219CT’s here, and if I am not to late I will pay you for two reflectors for the Pineapple, might be way to late, had family issue and well a mess.
Does the current Pineapples at BG have the old reflector or new, or do you happen to know?
How do you think these Nichia’s would look in your Ti X6? ..
That extra Ti parts post I read, it was about Nov. of 2016, it was not a normal thread like this page, I just can’t find it now, I’m sure there was an PP or email address for I’m thinking some lady Vivian..??
Does that name sound familiar.?
Might help if I ask if these Nichia’s are even still for sale?
Thank You Rey,
I sure do wish you’d do another ReyLight Copper Lumintop, with a new driver and these LEDs..!
That would be awesome, but must have ReyLight on them again, your getting way to famous now.. and it was February of 2016 when you did the last ones.
Gary

Hi Gary,

Thanks. Sorry all Ti X6 were gone. Vivian was my colleague. Ledil Cute-3-SS might be too big for 219 Leds?
Pls PM me your shipping address, will ship you the reflectors, it’s free. If you need a tracking, you can pay 1.5$.
I had that thought about another run of copper AAA, but never made up my mind.

Regards
Rey

Hi Rey,
Sorry for not replying quicker than this, geez, what a day, well if anything I am always late so being no parts for the TiX6 is not much a surprise but I am surprised that I remembered your colleagues name, incredible if you knew me better Rey,
And I will get some money off to you quick for those reflectors, most likely in the morning, I need to buy a new computer, I got to type fast or it might just up and crook/die on me.
So yes, a new driver in a new AAA copper for Febuary, 2.2.2017 edition.. ha ha, Banggood would sell a million of them for you, but you got to put ReyLight on the light like last time and besides a new driver maybe this or similar LED, this was a great one here, just loved the tint,
Thanks Rey take care..

Hi Rey
Are there any drivers left? If so I’d quite like one.

Actually I still have dozens of them. It is the old 2K Hz one. My bad.
Want to sell them cheap.

Well I managed to mess up the driver in my EagleTac D25A Clicky doing an emitter swap and I reckon yours is my best option for a replacement with dual chemistry support and a moon-mode even if it’s the 2 kHz PWM version. If ever you where to sell the new version separately I certainly would be very interested but in the meantime how cheap are you thinking? I might be able to use more than one.

Sorry I don’t have the newer ones for sale. 2K HZ is now 50% off 3$/pc.

All right, can I still buy one of the older ones? Which modes have PWM again? The middle two?
