Good find, thanks for this! Only works on one light and cannot be used again by same account, but what a bargain with prime!

Ordered, discount limited to qty 1. Probably trying to dump this batch, based on the ThroFire update to the listing. Guess there's been complaints about flaky twisty ON/OFF - could try sanding down the tube end where the contact is made - tip from vwpieces and it worked great on my SeresRoad Mu08.

I wish I still had Prime, shipping kills the deal.

Great find! Got mine ordered. Thanks for the heads up. Nice to see something under $50 on BLF for a change.

The newer reviews make it seem like this was fixed. Im thinking its the opposite of your theory. They price these cheap so they can get this light into more peoples hands and can garner more positive reviews. Not sure i trust some of the bad reviews anyways. Any time i see people complain about “weird” batteries i write off their entire review.

I'm talking about this statement by ThorFire in the Product Description:

IMPORTANT:
Some customers complained that the light turns itself back on automatically, we are looking into it and will resolve it in next batch. But when using this version we are selling now, you need unscew a little bit more if you are faced with the flaw.

Sounds like they acknowledge the problem, but maybe it's an old note, or had no merit, dunno... I just know from experience that 9 out of 10 twisties can work fine, or sometime there's so much slop in the threading, ON/OFF flickers and you have to unscrew it further to reliably stay off in your pocket for example - I see it in a few twisties I have.

Remember you can always divert half a percent of what you spend from Bezos to a worthy charity of your choice, if you log in through
https://smile.amazon.com

They don’t make this easy — you have to save a shopping cart at amazon, exit, and log back in through

https://smile.amazon.com

Then designate the charity you’d like to get your little bit. It does add up.

It’s pretty easy, just do all of your shopping by starting at the smile link. The only time it’s an extra step is when you follow a link that doesn’t go through smile.

If you are logged into Amazon and just switch to smile.amazon (without logging out or clearing your cookies or anything) it will carry your cart over to smile. At least that’s the way it has always worked for me.

So true. Some of those reviews are “Whaaa, I can’t find batteries for it”. You would think Thorfire would vet some of these people before sending them free stuff.

For anybody put off by the shipping, the Amai AK02 is identical I believe, and priced at $2.91

http://www.gearbest.com/led-flashlights/pp_440343.html

These lights are incredibly simple, no switch, no driver. Just an LED, resistor(s), dome, and body.

Could easily mod one with a different resistor or a potentiometer under the dome.

If you use chrome for your browser, there is an app, Smile Always, which automatically redirects you to smile.amazon whenever you log on to amazon, very easy. I am a vet and have Fisher House as my charity, they do an awesome job at major VA hospitals housing patients families while in the hospital.

+1 on Fisher House. I used to do a lot of work with Vets in Richmond VA coming back from Iraq, and Fisher House was always there to help.

go to Gearbest and order Aimai AK02,same light in various colors. I got 4 and I like them. Great for when the power goes out! My wife liked them so much she had me order 4 more for her office, bathrooms and spare bedrooms.
