Moonlake XP-G2 R5

Has anyone have any experience with this light? Looks great and simple. Only drawback is the price, it’s too expensive for it’s category and no discount code as well. How is this light compared to the Thorfire TG06?

It’d be great if this has a discount code like the Thorfire, which drops the price to about $10. Anyone have a discount code for this light?

I’ve been eyeing on the purple and green one too. But my guess is that the quality of a Convoy S2+ is simply going to be much better, so I kind of gave up on Moonlake. Indeed, if the price went down, I do might give it a try…

Yah. Too bad Convoy doesn’t have any AA light. I’m eyeing on the Nitecore MT1A for a birthday gift for myself but I’m looking for a possible option, which looks like this one is a nice option.

Dang, I forgot it’s an AA light. There is just less choice for AA lights… I do love single AA lights for the universally available battery type used. If you go survival-ling, I’d definitely have a single AA light with me as a backup.

If someone gets one, I’d like to know if it’s mod friendly.

That Thorfire TG06 is a nice little light. I’ve gotten a few for myself, and a few for gifts. You can’t beat the price for one. Just wish they came with a different firmware, although it’s acceptable. It’s kind of like a lottery bin with their led tints too. The last 2, I got were more neutral, but they were usually more CW in the beginning.

Moonlake probably same as Thorfire TG05… have a “unbranded” one. Very nice and mod friendly. Mine has aluminium pill and not brass like in the review here on blf made by downlinx . If I remeber correctly the driver opening on mine is just below 17mm. Maybe 16.7mm..
