FastTech: what are they up to?

I ordered a Sunwayman V11R from FastTech. It was in stock. A day or two later the order was marked as “ETA in 2 days”. When the 2 days elapsed, it changed to “ETA in 3 days”. When those 3 days elapsed, it changed to “ETA in 4 days”. And now that those 4 days have elapsed, it was changed to “ETA in 4 days”. And yet during that period I often checked and found it marked as in stock. What are these people up to?

I recently made an order that was labeled as “in stock”. Then a few days later I checked my order and it said it was being reordered. I messaged them and it was not actually in stock so I cancelled. I think their information regarding stock can be inaccurate, and they will not update you. Message them and see what’s up.

Every order I’ve placed with FT has been delivered. However, like you all note, it’s a crap shoot if it’s in stock or not regardless of what they may indicate.

That’s why I do not order from FT any more. If I log on to their site to browse even, I still get bad vibes and do not order… In the old days they were the best (for a very short duration I might add). But now, it’s a runaround and nothing but question marks surrounding FT.

No, FT is not out to cheat anybody…but with me they ruined their reputation a long time ago. I feel much better ordering through BG or GB.

My understanding is they do a lot of drop shipping. So periodically they will check stock with their suppliers and the suppliers will say “Yeah, we have them in stock!” so FT labels them as “In-stock.” But then when someone orders them FT says “Hey, ship on of these out” and the supplier then says “Oops, we don’t actually have any. Maybe tomorrow.” Then FT checks the next day and again it’s “Maybe tomorrow.”

The problem is when that happens, FT’s Order Fulfillment department doesn’t speak to the “Is stuff in stock” department and things never get updated.

I did the same thing. Sunwayman V11R.

Got mine about 2 weeks ago… After waiting about 8 weeks…

But it came. Eventually.

And for a Sunwayman, its CHEAP!

Unfortunately waiting is part of the deal with off-shore vendors. I’ve never had purchases disappear into the void but there have been a few occasions where it took over 50 days to get them to me.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by GearBest. It often takes a week to ship, but then a week or less to arrive.

My last order from Fasttech took 3 weeks from when the order was place to when I received it while the two prior to that one that took 3 months. I guess it’s luck of the draw on delivery times. I don’t know the numbers off hand but I think Gearbest has also been relatively quick to deliver on my recent orders.

I got the same experience with GB lately. But it also make me think they actually ship it earlier but then gives the tracking number days later to make the shipping looks faster. Just looking back at my old orders “pre-advised” state is usually taking 4-7 days from the dispatch date. Recently it take less to get to “pre-advised” state, but takes a week to ship from the order date.

I had much the same as you are experiencing, all be it on a different item, I contacted them and said I wished to cancel my order and have a refund, within the hour they replied back with ” ever so sorry we are unable to refund you as your order has already been shipped” strange that lol, then a couple of hours later a genuine tracking number apeared, so in my case the mere mention of wanting a refund spurred some immediate action at their end :slight_smile:

i’ve only used them once… sr52ut ordered 18 October and received 31 October (yesterday). 13 days from order to arrival in NZ via SingPost! hope it’s not a one off.

Well I never, it is now marked as shipped although the tracking does not yet work. :slight_smile: I guess the reason why we use these Chinese sellers is because we get bargains, so we can’t really complain too much.

Order weekly from fast tech always advise if no stock i than have option to cancel order if do not care to wait. Fast refund. All orders have arrived within 3 weeks. As mentioned no point complaining when one is getting a bargain, all part of it!

You get bargains…. But you also get bargains with other Asian venders. So if the completion is better there is no reason to buy from FT.

I recently had bad experience with their stock indicator. First it was in stock, after ordering the stock indication said “ships in 3 business days”. After that the ETA was again 3 days. This is going on for two weeks now.
After contacting support they told me to wait 5 business days. This inaccurate stock information is damaging for the company. How their websites works with constantly adding 3 business days is not very customer friendly. If I knew from the beginning the delay would be this bad I would have canceled the order. I will not order from them again and that’s a shame because I was a loyal costumer. Also I will not recommend them until they fix this issue.

FT has been a pain for at least a year because of that stock misinformation issue. I recently had an order sitting unshipped for over a month because one item was “restocking”.

The real problem is they used to split orders automatically if one or more items where not readily available but they stopped to do it and let things go unchecked until you ask. This has become very annoying indeed.

Wow! This came out about time. This is a little tale about FastTech's customer disservice:

2017/06/10: Ordered an UltraFire SK98 LED Flashlight via international airmail (free shipping).

2017/06/13: Order C061094723 ships out.

2017/07/12: Order shipment arrives home. I receive a bubblewrap envelope containing a :facepalm: 5*LED 2-Mode 50LM LED Bicycle Light / Flashlight. Let me serve you the until now remaining story in a few screenshots:

This is certainly not exactly funny. An error like this is an inmediate refund in eBay/AliExpress, but MessTech has to break some balls.

They've been trying to tease out more money from me (upgrade shipping and sheesh), and I must admit I've gladlingly ended up being some sort of good dumbass.

FastTech, your company name is completely misleading. CrawlTech fits much better.

Hope you get better my dears. If you believe this sort of customer service inattention plus an obvious tight-fisted attitude makes you end up earning more money, you're terribly wrong.

I've been working in direct sales myself and honestly, if I were to witness this sort of crap in my business I'd be lovingly ripping any and all culprits a new one. Sheesh!

Hmmm. Last time I had an issue (2-pack of bulbs, only 1 bulb inside), I did the send-a-pic thing, got credit for the 2-pack, kept the 1 I had, and no grief.

Wonder if it depends on who’s handling the complaint? One may be a ballbuster, another more than reasonable.

I have had nothing but good luck with FT….so much so that I will now only do business with Banggood if that is my only resort.

Ordered 2 times with FT, no problem. Arrived within 2-3 weeks. It may take a few days longer if you order special items that are not in stock, you can cancel that item and the rest of them will be shipped asap. Else, I think they are as fast or faster then GB and BG.
