Yes, DHL and Europe is a bad combi when looking at tax and administration costs. 30-50 euro extra. At shipping DHL is the best, unbelievable how solid and fast they are.

There is an administration fee ,besides that another amount based on the value of the item, where the Seller needs to declare item cost and shipping cost,if not done properly, the highest rate would apply directly by DHL

Guys in europe, for your battery needs you might want to check NKON, as good prices as anywhere in the world, fast shipping and top notch customer service, the only downside depending in wich european country you are is the shipping fees

Received my two today! Brisbane, Australia. came via TNT as others have said.
no batteries, shipped on the 19th received on the 23rd.

I did notice on the invoice they have put down the unit price as $25.00. Now that doesnt effect me customs wise but wouldnt all the guys in Europe only be charged customs tax on that ??

I don’t know the words to many songs, I listen to the music (especially the bass) but in many situations a phrase from a song pops into my mind and I can’t remember anything from the song except the relevant phrase. Such it is in the life of me.

Happy for those across the pond getting their GT’s, have fun! Smile

There is no need for that kind of reaction.
Not all lights were sent, but soon they will send it.
You (and some of us) just have to wait a little longer.

Just received my GT, does anyone else have centering issues with their LED? The hole in the black centering ring is much larger than the square of the xhp35hi, which is clearly much closer to one side of that ring compared to the other.

If the customs officer would believe that value, sure. But would you take it for true ? German customs asked me for the PayPal transaction, in many cases they don’t trust in chinese invoices – which is totally understandable for me.

European customs only accept the real payment invoice, once they stop it and doubt about it, there is no other way but showing PayPal invoice

Hi,

DHL in Europe is expensive, but fast I hope ;).

I´ve changed registered to DHL (I hope so Wink ), also because I have only one PayPal bill for customs.
custom office next to me always would like to see the PayPal bill.

Registered Mail, two packages, could be a problem for me and customs with only one PayPal bill.
Worst case paying twice the price (VAT), each 19% of $111 would be $42.

So I think it´s easier, faster and not much more expensive with DHL, also DHL delivers the package to the front door.
Driving to custom office (20km) is about 1-2 hours (incl. waiting time), petrol allowance…

So I hope, switching to DHL worked, and I´ll receive my BLF GT soon.

Seems like the battery carriers are to long. I can’t get a
Complete seal on the tail cap when carriers are in. Does anyone else have this issue?
FYI they are in with arrows pointing towards head

true..

customs and DHL ... a nightmare sometimes

i paid 50€ for correctly declared 10 USD spareparts (“there is no free shipping! all chinese are liars! i set a value as i like!!“)

i paid nothing on correctly 300 usd lights (“naah - no time!“ put a tax-free-sticker on top of the value)

but -of course- i did pay less than expected many times... Wink

so overall i am still happy Big Smile

Careful with DHL. They might ask you for 20 or 40 and if you refuse, package is returned. Nothing the sender can do either.

This has changed at least in Finland. You just tell DHL that you want to do the customs processing yourself (self clearance, itsetullaus) and they’ll send the required information (warehouse ID, AREX MRN number etc). This will result in zero processing/administration fees.

Can someone tell us more regarding GT for NASA. Did NASA ordered this FL? Or was sent to nasa free of charge?
Will they use it on next mission to moon or mars? Big Smile

Yes this is changed lately, but they still try to push you pay processing if you dont specifically ask DIY processing.

Shipping is included in the price.

Clearly you have not been following the shipping discussion. For EU and DHL there are nasty surprises around where the recipient ends up paying extra. I do not mean taxes and customs fees but protection money.

With DHL you never know if it is paid in full until they deliver.

Yes,I agree that it is so.They charge enormous sums. But not only them, but also the other courier companies,ie UPS etc.

Off-centered LED. Wondering why the hole in the centering ring is so much larger than the LED, does that not defeat it’s purpose.

I’m thinking that loosening and retightening the head might solve this, but I cannot get into the head, it’s on to tight, any suggestions?
The tailcap ring is also really tight, and someone a few pages back suggested it might be due to a pinched o-ring, but I am unable to unscrew the piece under the lumintop logo too.
