It's not on Tank007's website (counterfeit?). It's unusual in that it is short 110 mm length with a 41 mm diameter head and uses one 18650. It should be a thrower and it's length is less than a P60 host and it's diameter is about 11 mm greater than a P60.
I don't know if the specs can be counted on but the head does look big for the body.
I guess I should have recognized it as such but I don't actually have any C8's so when I saw that short stubby tube with the over sized head I thought "thrower". I guess C8's are decent throwers anyway but the specs on this looked interesting.
Well, no need to waste a thread so let me ask another question.
Are there any C8's (using a XR-E) that are single mode or at least no strobe (without modification)?
Now that I think about it...isn't the Uniquefire HS-802 more or less a C8 with a slightly deeper reflector? (I have one of those)
Yep, the HS-802 is pretty much a C8 sized head but with deeper reflector designed for throw.
I've just modded my Trustfire USA168 (an 802 clone) with a 1.4A single mode driver. I'm very happy with it.
One of these days I'm going to get around to buying this 802 sized light. It takes a standard P60 pill, so you can effectively swap emitters and drivers without the need to solder. Nice.
Same mechanical quality as any of my other $25-30 lights and a real mini spotlight. (Correction:: As I found out later, the reflector is plastic.) No corona like in my HS-802 beam, but a wider sharp uniform spot instead (1m at 14m). Superbly focusing C8 sized reflector with no extra depth. Overdriven at 1.7A, though.
I bought it here. It was badly packaged, so there is a replacement tailcap in transit right now.
