These digital tire gauges are much better than the old mechanical ones.
This one in particular, with it’s extra tools is even more useful. Just hope you never need those extras.

When I see a million multi tools and an l.e.d. added to the whole enchilada package ,my “crapola” bell goes off. Come on. Ten bucks is way overpriced for an air gauge. I can get ten for that price……that work! ymmv

With all my heart… Ebenezer Scrooge. :face_with_monocle:

Not better than the older mechanical ones, but better than the crappy Chinese mechanical ones.
I mean, all you need is a cylinder, a piston / plunger, some O rings and a spring to measure tire pressure perfectly accurate.
Never runs out of power either, size of a ballpoint pen.

But hey, i like good old stuff.

I usually do too but I have a digital one now that I just love.
How do I know it’s accurate? I don’t, all I know is that it is consistent. No mechanical one I ever had was. They all required a relatively large amount of air to escape into the chamber to push the piston up. I would tend to get different readings depending on how well of a connection is made.
In other words, these new digital ones don’t require as much user skill.

If anyone is interested, a simple gauge without the extra tools can be had right now at Home Depot. They are within the holiday gift section

Now this makes a lot more sense. Half the price and right here on hand in the good ole USA at Home Depot. And minus the cheapo tools to boot…

It’’ll make “The Best Christmas Ever” present…….Bob Cratchit
