TS07

bought one for $9.99 and was happy for that price.
Will get another, Thanks

I bought one June 2, 2015 on Amazon for $19.99, Man are they cheap now!
s you can use 10440 cell.

Wow, this looks really nice. I don’t think I’d ever use it without a pocket clip though.

Its kinda small, same size as my Brass olight I3S AAA and the TS07 has a tail click SW. I3S is twisty.

This light has maybe the worst PWM I have ever seen, just fyi.

Ouch… that’s good to know. I didn’t find too much info on it when I searched. I guess I should have looked at the info of its clones. I only got one so not too bad, it looks like a good host for a mod now or some lego.

Is it 10440 compatible?

Nice for our US brothers but no good to any Aussie’s here.

Switch setup on these is a little odd. Holding up fine to a fet driver in mine right now. Has a copper pill as well.

Description does not say what the emitter is. Anyone know?

Also, is it better than this SeresRoad Mu08?

No idea on emitter but its white light not too obnoxious. Not as bad a cree tool cu.

The seresroad is glued pill, ts07 comes apart easily to swap emitter or driver.

Also the Thorfire is stainless, SR aluminum. SR is twisty TF has fear clicky SW.

Fear Clicky II: Revenge of the PWM

LOL, posted that from phone and caught 3 other mistakes, missed that one but it will stay now.
but for $8….
It comes apart and you can have your way with it.

Mtn E had some cheap AAA driver pulls from Fenix and Lumintop I think. Got a few on my last order. Simon sells some $1.47
CREE XPG2 Neutral white R5 4C High Power LED Flashlight LED lamp

For about $12 you get a pretty nice light with the upgrades.

I tested mine to day and I think it’s a pretty good light for the money.

  • White, but pretty nice, not blue, I’d say it’s visually it’s a pretty good neutral on mine.
  • Output as other have reported is not stellar and there is little visual difference between Med and High, although it was about 80-90% increase on a lux meter at a ft or so.
  • Machining is fine. I had to lubricate the head and tail threads. The threads are quite short, but I don’t see an issue with this on SS.
  • Switch feel is quite nice, a little loud but better feeling than many I’ve tried. It’s not mushy or sloppy.
  • As other have reported the light would not work with a Duracell AAA du to the design of the positive head of the battery. It worked fine with a Lithium primary and a eneloop NiMH.
  • I could see PWM on low on things like a fan test, but for the most part it was OK for me. Didn’t seem particularly bad at all compared to many i’ve seen.
  • Tailstanding is wobbly
  • I found that the electronic switch from the LuminTip Tool Ti actually worked on this little light, but the reverse was not true due to the short threads.
  • Biggest issue is it always comes on in the next level as others mentioned WTH.

I would say definitely worth the money for a SS clicky keychain light even if the med/high is not that big of a difference most people don’t need too much output on their keychain light. HOWEVER; if people can’t get them to work with Alkaline batteries then I could see that being an issue for many non-flashaholics. … OK that next level on start is a pretty bad feature also… I guess because of this I would not really want it as my regular keychain light.

My order arrived over the weekend. A shocker since I’m usually expecting flashlights on a slow boat!

@StandardBattery
You are spot-on with your assessments (except I don’t have a Tool Ti tailcap switch to try, so I’ll take your word for it).
The tailstanding is a little wobbly on mine also, due to the button protruding just ever so slightly.
Very little difference between the med and high modes, which is a little annoying.
The “next level” memory also annoys me more than I anticipated, since I’m not going to remember which mode I was last at.

Compared to my Singfire SF-348, I think I like the SF-348 better, even though it’s a single-mode light. It’s slightly narrower and a few dollars cheaper to boot. Although, the TS07 has a floodier beam which I like. If anything, it will make a good moder’s light. Probably still worth the $8 I paid.

Thanks StandardBattery.

I just got one of these. Something is wrong with the switch. At first it wouldn’t light at all. I reversed the body tube, and it started working. The switch is very difficult to click. Mode changes seemed to work OK. Now it has quit working again. Appears that the switch board is held in by a press fit plastic washer?

Not press fit. It is threaded. Look closely and you’ll see 2 dimples across from each other where you can insert tweezers to turn it out. It’s just like a traditional brass retaining ring.

I have 2 of these, and I like them but the switches are finicky.
They don’t always turn on with the first press; sometimes I need to rotate the entire tail switch assembly a tiny bit in one direction or another before the light will turn on. ?

Thanks. The spring is just sandwiched between the retaining ring and a contact pad on the bottom of the switch, not soldered. After dinking around with the original, I installed small gold plated spring, and it works as it should. I think the switch was just bound up for some reason. After reassembly it works much easier. Still kind of tough to operate with my fat fingers, though.
