Received my BT41 today and overall im very happy with it, There are a few things i would change.

Pros

Bright very bright. easy 10k otf lumens.
Very heavy solid feel.
Cosmetic quality is top notch.
Anodization is perfect, no sharp edges anywhere.
love the steel crenelated bezal
Throws more then expected, Measured 105,000cd
Both electronic buttons work great
Battery carrier is high quality
Logos looks very professional
Reflector quality is as good as a $500 acebeam x65. Im impressed

Cons
Leds off center, does not effect beam but centered leds just look better cosmetically.
Beam has nasty donut hole which you should expect. xhp70 leds with huge smooth reflectors result in a donut hole beam. I suggest a reflector with slight texture to smooth out the donut effect.
UI. I dont like the 2 second on click to change modes and 2 second to turn it off. Im used to lights where you click for on and hold to change modes an this is total opposite. Its hard to get used to.
Could be brighter. These leds are capable of 5000+ lumens each.

Overall I give it a solid 7.5-10

PS.. Im going to get this modded to roughly 16,000 lumens at turn on. maybe frost the led domes so it defuses better. Or maybe shaved domes, 200kcd and 16k lumens would be insane. wall of light with a punch

Can you post a beam shot of the donut hole? The beam shots in the review didn’t have one. At least none that I could see.

2 second long press to turn on/off? That’s just silly. Definitely needs better firmware imo.

The plan was to use his driver but becuase of the button type he said he can put in his driver. He said he might be able to do a current boost and diffuse the led domes to reduce the donut hole effect. Im a little dissapointed but you win sime you lose some.

I can take it outside. I just have to do at around midnight so i dont bother people. Im usually sleeping by then so i dont do it often. When i go to my grandparent’s house i have acres of land to take beamshots.
