Builder impressd by 18650 lights

My first thread and Jockrobbins destroyed it so I erased it. Will not post anymore since bullying people like him exist.

Where does he live and what would be use them for? Offhand I’d suggest 4 Convoy S2 lights two each XML-2 and XPG-2 all with 4-6 chip Q-lite drivers, protected Sanyo 3500mA cells and a couple Xstar MC01 chargers that can charge from a vehicle outlet. He can color code the lights by getting xml’s in black ano and xpg’s in grey ano.

Convoy C8

Thx all he live in sweden. I help him and convoy seams to be a good bet. And he want small flashlights. Convoy c8isnt that small … he want edc small, but 18650 batteries.

S2+, convoy as well
Nice edc and 18650

Was AAA even available in 1914?

I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt since it’s pretty obvious that they aren’t very proficient in the english language. It’s possible that something got lost in translation. According to wikipedia there are no known ww1 veterans still alive, the last one having died in 2009.

Exactly

Well, I usually give benefit of the doubt also. But this person seems to be intentionally making it look like he’s not a native English speaker. There are no clear patterns to the inconsistencies in the text, sounds odd but it happens - and it appears the ‘k’ in place of some c’s is forced.
If I’m wrong, sorry OP. But my experience says otherwise

Wow, that kind of help belongs on CPF.

I think they are using WW1 as a metaphor to hes mate using flashlights for a long time?

Was that directed at me? If so well, ok I’m simply telling it how I see it :+1:

I thought that possibly too, either way Im sticking to my theory. Non-native English speakers very rarely misspell words, it’s the syntax and comprehension that’s usually wrong.
I’m not wanting to start another world war so I’ll just slip out of this thread quietly………

Get an intelligent charger 1 single/dual bay and another 4bay. With that, he can charge his AA/AAA too.
Also get him a flooder, a thrower, a keychain light and a monster light
Heres my suggestion

- 18650 -
astrolux or blf a6(if he want with 18350 tube)
convoy c8
Convoy L6 He can use 18650 on L6.

- AAA -
lumintop tool

  • AA, 14500 -
    jetbeam-I mk or mi7.

for batteries
6x18650
2x18350[if he pushes with the 18350 tube if not get 8 18650]
2x14500.

Tanks this was exaktly what i was trying to imply, a metaphor.

And thanks the advise from you all. exept Jockrobbins :rage:

Sounds like good old Swenglish to me. //Fellow Swede.

You are entitled to your own view-point - as am I.
Also, David I did not insult or attack anyone if that’s your definition of those words - again your opinion.
I have seen so much worse on here like page after page of insults being hurled at each other that goes on for days.
I can guarantee if I were a long term member my opinion may hold more weight. But that’s fine, it is none-the-less the WWW so I won’t take your words to heart.
Seems as if freedom of speech is a dying entity these days.

I just avoid adding to the very little crap that occasionally happens here on BLF- SB has enough work to do without me adding more to his workload  And yes, there are still lots of folks who’ve never seen the performance of a good LiIon flashlight.

I do building and remodeling, and I think the BLF A6 or the Astrolux S1 (same light) is an awesome choice for having one single light in this business. It can fill a room with enough light to paint it and it has enough throw to see the end of the building lot in total darkness too. I keep a spare charged cell on hand since I tend to use the higher modes and so far that’s been plenty- I’ve never lacked for adequate light since it went into the workvan. Being a high-performance light it needs to be fed with really good high-capacity cells but they’re always a good choice regardless.

Yes, the name “troll” is a definite insult in any online gathering. The only ones who don’t take it as an insult are the real trolls, because they already know what they are, and enjoy it a bit too much. Surely you’ve been on the WWW long enough to know this.

I worked my way through college in the 1980’s as a termite inspector. Back then we crawled around in attics and under houses using incandescent 3D Maglites. When I use either my Convoy S2+ or BLF A6 I sometimes think about how much easier my job would have been if either of those lights had been around, and think either of those would also work for a builder. For the S2+ I’d use 4X or maybe 6X 7135. If he wants 4 lights I’d suggest trying 2 or 3 different tints.

it is pretty clear who the troll is here. and it is not the guy asking about flashlights.
