4 x single 219C 90CRI 4000K on 16mm copper MCPCB 4 x single 219C 90CRI 4000K on 20mm copper MCPCB 2 x triple 219C 90CRI 4000K on copper MCPCB to be used on S3 hosts

That means: 4 + 4 + 3 + 3 = 14 pcs of LEDs, right?

Hey TA are you going to have any of those Virence boards for us US folks? Cause I’d like two of those as well, if its possible.

Happy Thanksgiving all!

The 144A you are talking about? It is a differnt footprint and would not fit in the triple. Finding a driver would be hard as well.

The 219C on the other hand would work just fine.

Problems:
- 144A doesn’t have thermal pad built in. And there’s very limited options available at the moment. You have to use custom MCPCB like VirEnce or Djozz board. The easiest way is to find board designed for 119A. Then you need to scrape off the solder mask to widen the pads. I haven’t seen 119A boards for triple too.
- Triple 144A would require 18V – driver problem

144A is already 4 × 219C crammed together. You should get approximately the same output with quad 219C.
The most benefit of 144A over 219C is higher max output, simpler single optic source point, higher quality light above 4000K region. It has fatter (almost 40%) spectrum in 480nm region, the area most cool white LED lacking

Hi Guys,

I never thought that November – January would be that busy at the other side of the world. I live in an island with relative constant activities but one day (Nyepi Day). I decided to make 2 weeks collection-delivery time based solely on my experience as a buyer. I didn’t want to make people wait for too long. Direct shipping cost from Indonesia to the outside world is crazy expensive. For example I paid USD30 from Indonesia to Finland when I sent Maukka the samples (with tracking number). Non tracking would be USD 23. And that was the cheapest courier available (EMS)

If you guys don’t have any problem I will extend the first delivery up to late December due to several reasons:

- We won’t have Djozz for EU distribution for the 2nd and up deliveries.
- There are still sm453 144A and 319A (hex die) samples left in Japan with scheduled delivery at December 21st.

So, until I find someone for EU and nearby to help with the distribution, there will be expensive direct shipment.
Please tell me your suggestion(s).

Many thanks and may the Photons be with us,
Clemence

We are sorry for this possible last minute change of plans everyone.

With the shipping prices being higher then expected and scheduling concerns doing several shorter group buys is less practical then we first thought.

Next time the prices could go up depending on how things turn out once all is said and done this time around.

So by extending this one we hope to maintain the low price point and allow more people to take advantage of it.

So we want to hear from you, are you ok with extending the group buy (and thus shipping date for the emitters)?

Is the end of December good or would you prefer a different ending date? Let us know what you would like to see done.

Yes, it should work fin in anyplace that an XP LED would work as it uses the same star. Lumen wise it will be a lot more then the 219B, exact lumen wise it depends on how hard you drive it but 800-1200 lumens is pretty reasonable on high.

Added to the list.

I will send out payment instructions to everyone as soon as I have some spare time. We have been having some discussions behind the scene and we are thinking about extending the end date instead of doing another GB so soon after this one due to shipping costs being higher then expected and schedules. See the post above.

The later delivery date delays my plans, but of course I can be accommodating.

I have seen the PM Smile will answer and update the list tonight. We are in a discussion right now when to end the sales for this round (1 week for taking requests seemed a bit short to us), and if the period is extended that will also affect the latest payment date.

Yeah, mine too lol. I was wanting to build some Christmas gifts with the LED’s but empty hosts with an IOU an LED is basically the same right?

I can go with whatever everyone else wants.

Yes, based on this test by djozz: http://budgetlightforum.com/node/40133

I would say 800-1000 is well within reason if driven hard since this emitter is high CRI and a bit lower flux bin. Less if driven less naturally.

Can you please add 5× 4000K 219C for me?

I’m not in a hurry so I’m okay with an extended end date.
