Looks very much like the Manker U21 at a much cheaper price. If the machining quality is close to the same, it sounds like a nice deal.

Too much for my current budget though.

Bump.

Sure would like to know if it's a U21 clone or made in the same factory - suspect it's from the same factory - dims and outputs are exactly the same specs I believe, and even the finish looks the same. The driver in the U21 is suspect - I know of 2 that failed (mine and one other BLFer). Hopefully it's been improved.

It's a quality light though - great compact thrower, though I prefer it cranked up in amps with a dedomed XPL - I've gotten up to 1,770 lumens and 253 kcd w/Narsil, and 5.93A at the tail (clamp meter) on a dedomed XPL W2.

As the light in the other thread is VERY reminiscent of the Manker E11 at about half the retail price (on the group buy).
Utorch UT01

If these are even close to the quality of the counterparts, I’m VERY tempted. Especially since I JUST spent $65 on the Manker U21….I might still be in my return period with Amazon…..hmmmmm.

EDIT: That being said, put me down for ONE NW. Thank you.

You should probably make a complaint on the manufacturer , not here .

Manker perhaps you need to speak with your factory to find out why these look almost identical to your model.
It seems there is not much that can be done in the Chinese market about the issue of clones, other than to make the original worth the premium over the clone.

Here at BLF, some people will avoid a clone out of principle, but many people will buy what appears to be the best value.

Probably they stole and used the same photo, the Utorch flashlight is just photoshoped in.

Or maybe…

These lights are actually manufactured by manker but they don’t want people to relate this possibly lower quality rebrand.

By the way, it seems like the head is a single piece without any kind of bezel, how did they get the reflector/glass in? The light shown in the pictures is just a render and the actual light could be a lot different than the photos.

+1 - the light as pictured can't exist. The head could be smooth if there was a retaining ring over the lens, but I don't see one. Now I see why a black button turns red and green - wondering how that would work, maybe some degree of transparency...

Are you talking about the X5/X6? Actually WE were the ones who requested it (via banggood)… can’t really blame them.

Does Manker actually manufactures anything ?

Most of these brands just choose from an OEM catalog and have their brand lasered on it, some design their own product (probably the case of Manker) and have it made by a subcontractor.

Said sub then release a similar product under another brand name undercutting the designer, business as usual in China.
