one of our friend on here was good enough to get me 12 powergenix AAs and a charger and post them over to me in the UK that was some months back
i have only used six of them used these at most 10 times checked them to day as i wanted a little more light from my Fenix LD10
tested them with my Multi-M they were all at 0.9 - 1v charged 4 of them
they all came off the charger at 1.8-1.9v
went out with one in my LD10 and was in darkness within 4-5 Min's swapped the batt for another same result put in a eneloop and all was well
went home and tested the rest down to 1.5- 1.6v in only a few hours sitting so recharged the same 4 they came of the charger at 1.9-1.92
left them to sit over night and they are all at 1.2-1.3v and if put in a light die in seconds also charged the ones that have not been used and the don't hold a charge ether
surely these should have a longer shelf life than a few months
Ive had no failures with the 24 or so I have. You cant let them fall below 1.2 when dishcharged. It will kill them. 1.85V off the charger and going to .9V would be like taking an 18650 down to 2V. Not good.
i hear what you say but i didnot over discarge them they are self discharging
i have used 6 of them only a few times they have never been over discharged i chech with a d-m-m
the other six of them i only unpacked yesterday ( never used brand new just out the pack are dead ) yes i charged them non of them are holding there charge
They are very fragile! I haven’t killed any of mine from letting them sit but I killed two of them from over discharge. I test mine every few weeks and they do seem to have a somewhat high self discharge rate. My batteries that I have abused the worst seem to have the worst self discharge.
