Eneloops at Costco USA - 10 AA or 12 AAA for $20

Word on the street is that Costco is carrying Sanyo Eneloops again. These look to be 2nd gen cells with the improved 1500x cycle life. This isn't the bundle deal from before (8 AA 4 AAA w/ charger) but just for AA or AA cells.

Edit: Moved to DealAlerts

I think I saw a post regarding these a couple days ago. And after hearing about them again, it really isn't that good of a deal compared to past offers. First of all, there's the club fee of $50 (I'm only referring to basic membership costs). If you go to costco once a week, you have to add ~$1.00 to the price of the items/gas. So if I just get a 1 pack, it's actually around $21.00. And let's not forget about the state...total price now goes to around $23.00. The last deal was 10 AA and 4 AAA earthtones for around $28.00 total. It was just a decent deal...I wanted the colors.

I see that it includes 2 battery cases so let's say the price is now $22.50. (I got my cases on ebay for 8x $2.00 shipped.) So it's like buying 9 cells and getting a 10th free. I guess if you're looking to buy some, it's an ok deal. But I got so many now, I want them cheaper!

Amazon has 8 packs for $19.00.

Hopefully, they have some new color or something. Cool

The AAA's on the other hand are a pretty good deal!

They're the earthtones model. I don't know if that means anything. I'm picking some up because I already have a membership and it's still a better deal than going with Amazon. But for others I'd say just get them from Amazon.

Yeah, I already have a membership and I only use it for their gadgets and occasionally, gas. For food, diapers and everything else, I goto Sams.

Thanks for the info on the color. I may have to pick up some of the AAA's. ;)

The Costco near me has no Eneloops.

Sorry about that Foy. Most reports were coming in from people in TX and CA. I am hoping they'll be stocked up for the holiday season and throw in a coupon in their books for a few bucks off to sweeten the deal.

You can search new items in your local costco.

Using the link above, it looks like the should be available in the Centennial store there in Vegas sometime soon:

Good luck.

change that OR to an AND and we're in business.

You probably won't find a coupon for the eneloops but rather a manufacturer instant rebate. I've never seen coupons but they have the rebates at least once each year. You see them a lot with the batteries and light bulbs.

They have them online. But they cost more.

That would be great- nobody sells them- well a store in sarasota Fl. for $10 each does.
