EBL Pack of 4 5000mAh 3.7 Volt 26650 Battery

I ordered these from amazon, price was right.

Anyone have any experience with these?

I have purchased EBL AAAs in the past…

Don’t have experience with ebl but just sifted over 100 reviews. Found 3 that said they tested over the 5000 mah around 5300-5400 on a opus and one review stating that two tested at 2000mah and the other two at 4000 after a few cycles. None of the 3000 mah 18650s have tested over 2250mah. So its a crap shoot. Hopefully you have a analyzing charger. If they did test over 5000mah could be a cheap domestic source for decent 26650s

look like whateverfires to me.avoid!

Amazon is usually very accommodating regarding returns - they’d almost certainly accept a return them if their capacity didn’t meet the 5000mAh spec. Just select “item not as described/advertised” in the return process and print the free return label (Amazon pays for return shipping if product is defective or not as advertised).

The consensus on the EBL NiMH AA’s seems to be that their capacity is genuine, but their claims of LSD are not.

So I’d buy these without too much hesitation IF AND ONLY IF you have an analyzing charger that can test capacity. With Amazon return policy it’s not too much of a gamble.

I would rather pay a couple bucks more and get Liitokalas 26650 instead, the review on the EBL are pretty mixed. Plus that UF wrapper doesn’t look convincing either.

Using my new Opus ct100 I measured a capacity of 5230 mAh on one of the EBL batteries… pleased.

I will test them all, but it will take some time with the single cell charger:)

Thanks for the data point, fdr. It will be interesting to see if all 4 are consistent. I may pick up a set, as the only 26650 application I have currently is very low drain, so even if the EBL cells can’t handle much current it wouldn’t matter to me.

Capacity is one thing

But a lot of cheap cells cant provide decent current, they drop on capacity a lot on relatively low loads

Like those Ultrafire cells
The max they can deliver is 5A
Quality cells can go to >30A constant discharge

I think sometimes cheaper cells will also work well right out of the box but fall on their faces quicker .My chinese AA or AAA nimh’s seemed to puke and die ten times faster than eneloop/duraloop/fdk-fujitsu etc .I’d just like to see some reports of how well they work years from now . My time machine is broken so if any members have one and want to do the testing I’d be interested .

 clearly the color and design of the label doesn’t inspire confidence with people who know about the ultrafires .

with these
available why bother anyway?

Thanks for the testing. They seem alright at 1 amp. I’d like to see them tested at 5 amps around where a l6/s70 runs.

There are better cells sure but these test do help blf. Someone might need OK cells in a couple days and not weeks and this might work or work for the time being.

Another thought of mine is the liito Kala cell can be be bought rewrapped and sold for a profit. Gear best has canceled orders over profits. For $5 a piece shipped. Another company could purchase the same cells and put their wrap on it for the same price. Your talking tens of thousands of cells purchased at a time.

for all we know these ebl are the BAK china cells rewrapped.could be ok now but what will they rewrap next week?

:+1:

Cool, looking forward to your further impressions. I have had those in and out of my cart several times, the allure of Amazon shipping and post sale support as a Prime member make these tempting to try out. Can’t complain about the price too. thanks for taking one for the team!!

fdr2164, use 975e07 coupon here at Banggood and get the best all-around 26650 money can buy for a baaargain. Expired coupon? Bangbaad!

Alternative: LiitoKala 26650-50A/Bs at GearBest

Cheers my beloved ^:)

Side note… Gearbest shipping charges are really high to the USA and not exactly fast either. By the time you add S/H fees it doubles the price. I also tried ordering littokala cells from bangood but they declined my order… strange.
So places like ME, IMRbatteries and Battery junction remain my preferred retailers. If these EBL cells work out, thats one more possibility to add.

I have been eye-ing these as well…

Ordered 2 keeppower 26650s from Illumn for $7 each… ordered today

I have 2 Liitokala coming via the slow boat from china

and, i have 4 ELBs

I wonder who really makes these batteries?

BAK

The more I think about this the more I like it. You may be on to something ‘fdr2164’.
If these continue to test out as good as the first one you tested, they will be on par with the LiitoKala’s and available right here in the good ole’ USA.
Thank you for the info, looking forward to more updates. :+1:

Seems GearBest has decided not to ship any Lion Batteries to the USA. Just tried to put several different types in my cart, so unless I’m missing something?
They said No battery’s or e-cig products anymore.

So ordered my Liitokala from Banggood no problem, BLF code worked for a small discount. Since GB won’t ship Banggood has the best price I could find on them. 2 for $11.59
Before all of the China sellers start following the law we better start getting them while we can!
