Charger that's also a power bank

I am looking for a 18650 battery charger that will also serve as a power bank to charge an iPhone. I have a Nitecore UM10 but it wont charge.

Thanks in advance!

Tomo v8 or new tomo t4 with the t4 you could use your lightning cable to charge the batteries

Given that your previous bank/charger was the UM10, I assume you are looking for a single battery charger/bank with 2.4A output.

Right now, it looks like the best all-arounder would be the Opus BT-C100 . It may, however, be a little on the long side for your needs.

There is also the Thrunight C2, which is basically a removeable battery version of the Anker lipstick charger. The problem is it is buggy right now and temporarily discontinued until they can work out the kinks.

There also was the Klarus CH1 and the always budget-minded Millar ML106, but those may be outdated.

Hope this helps.

i got this xtar from mtn electronics a few weeks ago. i like it and it’s a great price

Thanks

Thrunite C2 is very nice
Got the old version and comparing it to an Anker similar size and looks
It fills the phone faster and to a higher percentage
Sturdy, good looking and I really love that it can charge any 18650 cell so one can replace the designated cell (if one does that)

It charges a bit fast if used with a high amp adapter but using a normal PC USB out reduces that (still faster then Anker) so in a hurrry I use the good wall adapter but normally my PC (not the fast charge USB port

Compared to a Liitokala single bay charger that can do power bank the Thrunite delivers about three to four times the amount of power to a phone or iPad
So yeah I really like it and the new version should be able to power low amp devices as well (took me a while to find such device around the house but hey that is something the Anker is better at compared to C2 V1.

Looking for a compact/portable or larger size charger/bank? Since your UM10 is a single-cell bank:

The LiitoKala Lii-100 is a single-cell option that can output 1+A via the USB Power Bank function:

This. I love my Lii-100.

This gets my phone to 25% and the cell is not secured in it, the Thrunite C2 with the exact same cell brings it to 80% (4000mAh battery in my phone so from 0-80% is about 3200mAh, very nice I would need more then 3 cells to have the Liitokala do that.)

Very odd, I don’t have that problem. My Lii-100 will bring my phone to 75% on a 3400mAh.

Now the battery being loose, yeah. I’ve been going around that by pocketing it within the plastic sleeve, but it is indeed an issue if you’re not planning on leaving it to charge somewhere. I’m gonna get a Blitzwolf powerbank for on-the-walk charging.

…or a quick wrap of a velcro-type strap, but I don’t normally keep cells in my charger…

Hmm what is the mAh of your battery? (My cell phone has a 4000mAh battery)
Gonna try another of the 5 Liitokalas I have to see if it is a problem with the one I used.

I don’t have much luck using the liito 100 as a power bank either. It will say the cells are dead. After like 20-30 mins. But still plenty of life I’ve talked about it in another thread. Brand new cells. In other powerbanks work great. But for a $3 charger can’t expect much I bought it to keep in the truck to charge cells in a emergency. Thinking about replacing it with the opus 100. Or the new nitecore 3amp+2amp charger I keep a power inverter in the vehicle can power anything to 160 watts. In some kind of emergency situation 3 amp charging might come in handy. If you need a cell back operational quickly
