What did you use for the spacer?
I have a cube as well and really want to mod it into a mid power triple high CRI nichia, but I’m having a real hard time to remove the bezel.

I used copper bar stock for the spacer.
It’s a tricky light to make a triple as everything goes in the front so i soldered the spacer to the pill and cut in three notches in the spacer where the holes are in the MCPCB for the legs of the optics for screwing the unit back in. Heat the bezel some then unscrew with long nose pliars or something which fits. Put thick tape over the glass. 
Thanks! Will try that and let you know. I had his light for a while but realized that while it was pretty in stock form I would never give it any real use. since I don’t have any metal working skills I might have to stack Copper mcpcbs of different heights, let’s see…
Cool. It’s the 16500 cell mod that makes a huge difference though. The tube is wide enough in the middle but has the lips at each end. I filed them away by hand and it was a total bear but worth it.
