pretty much a noob for any technical stuff when it comes to flashlights, and love my eagle eye x6r.
Anyway, I am under the impression and have zero problem if wrong, that there can be a perceived throw difference depending on the color temp of the light. Is this correct and if so which way does it tend to go?
Any and all facts, thoughts, guesses and personal experience along these lines is welcome, thank you.
I compared the throw between two similar lights : Olight M2X and M3X.
Both are given for about 700/800m of throw, but the M3X is equipped with a warmer tint (well, more neutral though greenish…).
Anyway, it was foggy this night and the M3X reached some obstacles that the M2X couldn’t. The colder/whiter light tends to be reflected by water in suspension. The more light is reflected in the air, the less throw your flashlight will have.
Warmer tints throw better
