OEM Nitecore EZ AA R2 ? Yeah !

This is a very interesting product from Intl-outdoor , for the obvious reason.

http://www.intl-outdoor.com/worlds-smallest-aa-xrer2-led-flashlight-p-227.html

It says: In stock, while supply lasts. Stock is only 25 pcs, this product will not be back-ordered.

Stock is 23, so it appears a couple have been bought already.

Yeap, EZ.

OEM Nitecore EZ AA R2 ? Yeah !

Does anyone know if this is the Nitecore. No markings? What is the normal price on these if it is the Nitecore? Hard to pass on this but the S2 will be available soon from Ric.

thanks.

I bet this is exactly the same flashlight, that was discussed in this thread:

Patience is not my strongest personality trait, so I ordered it from taobao, (via www.mistertao.com agent). It should be here within days, according to tracking. I payed almost the same price (just a couple of cents less). My sister has original EZ AA, so when I have a chance, I'll compare these two. Although, she has warm white version...

It's good to see, Hank is offering more and more interesting stuff available only at Taobao.

It's $49 in the US.

Mine were 35$ in the U.S. plus shipping ...about 38 ~39$

these look very good and less than I paid for mine . I'd like to see one myself .

I saw this : http://www.batteryjunction.com/nitecore-ezaa-q5.html link and I thought it's a Q5 for $49. It appears that in the title they say R5. Still $49.

than the r2 .. the xpg is the current model and it's not really well liked . totally different light ..again like the ex-11 vs the ex-10 or the D-10 vs the D-11..Nitecore has screwed up their lights in many peoples opinion...Mine for sure .. with the xpg ezAA it's the UI and the ex-11 and d-11 it's the body and tail ..took a great light and made it bad :(

I think they make the same product and sell it under different brands. I like the R2 which I gave away, better than the R5 here in my hand. I think it had a better throw, and it did not turn on ramping, like this one does when I turn it off quick. I run 14500s.

I received that exact light a couple of days ago, I have the EZ123w and EZCR2w from first runs and this is certainly OEM unmarked Nitecore. It is actually slightly better quality if anything than the two I had before, the threading has no play at all and the anodizing is awesome. I think this is because it is a later run with the R2. It uses EZ900 size XR-E die so incredible throw for a light it's size. Fully current regulated and an incredible buy at $23.95 shipped. :)

Is fully regulated????? maintain brightness until battery dies? current increases as voltage decreases?

Yes, Mainly and Yes. I haven't run it completely down yet, and would assume it isn't literally a second from full brightness to off, it will dim for a while as the battery reaches it's very last legs. But current certainly does increase as voltage drops, it's a Nitecore and uses a boost driver so you wouldn't expect anything else really.

How does it measure up to it’s competiton?
Thx!

Now don’t anyone tell me that this is rubbish - I have one on the way from Hank! Incidentally I asked about 14500’s - he advises against.

I have mine since about 3-6 months (I cant remember)

No problems so far. Works excellent with both AA and 14500. Fully regulated circuitry

That is not a current Nitecore EZ AA R5 which is NOT a 2 mode light.
It is continuously settable from 6 to 160 lumens.

I’ve had it about 9 months and use it regularly.

Yeah, it’s a genuine V1 Nitecore EZAA, so well above most other comparable lights in it’s price range. In my opinion it’s better than the new version too. It’s regulated on AA and partially regulated on 14500, I’d guess some sort of Boost/Buck driver.

Like it or not .. great light greta deal or not ...it's NOT an OEM if it doesn't have a name on it ..

anything that isn't a Surefire is called a clone or a fake ..

jetbeam may have broke a contract with the company making their lights or someone let machines run after closing time or god knows what .. but if Nitecore doesn't call it a Nitecore ... you can't either

i remember ric at CNQG who wouldn't answer a blf members question about a light ric was selling ...the member kept asking if it was a real tiablo or a fake ... he asked abut 5 times and got mad that ric wouldn't answer ... no matter what he said ..it would have been incriminating ... is it a tiablo ? is it a nitecore ?? "No speaka da english .."

Mine arrived this morning. To be truthful, I’m not really sure why I ordered it (me see … me want??).

Anyway, apart from the fact that the fact that it’s not neutral, the UI is a bit of a pain. After the first twist the low comes on, but it takes a whole lot more twisting (more than one and a half full rotations of the head) for high to come on. I keep expecting the head to fall off.

Are they all like this? OK, it’s small, but the low (10 lumen, apparently) is too bright for my liking.
