I bought a standard S1 Baton (aluminum) just last week and am already in love with it. I’m on the hunt for an S-mini, so I can’t bring myself to buy this one.
But if anyone else is on the fence about it, you SHOULD buy this light, you will not regret it.
At the risk of derailing this FS thread, (OP, just consider this free Bumps) how did you get the LED out? I assume through the front by removing the bezel? How did you get a grip on such a tiny side profile of that bezel to (I assume) unscrew it? I gave a half-hearted try and it seemed pretty tight.
Well I just Google Image Searched and found this, so obviously it is possible…
Yes it is press fit. I used a cheap knife I don’t care about the blade, lightly tapped the blade into the joint while rolling it and you’ll start to see it separate, then use a small screwdriver to pop it off.
After swapping LEDs and pressing back in I tested it in water and it’s still 100% waterproof. It really isn’t that difficult to do and well worth it if you like the warmer colors.
